You mean like how they say everything is already mentioned in the bible?

"Oh you found Higgs boson particles? well, its already in the bible, you just need to look carefully. If you having trouble, ill take you to my pastor" aka "make it fit"

Never heard anyone say that in my life.

Well that was an example, but i had many many people tell me that same crap....

"what we have now is already in the bible, you just need to look carefully" they just don't understand they are putting their modern views in it to make it fit. Some guy try to explain Atoms, electrons, protons and neutrons... i was laughing my ass off in my mind

What i would give the bible credit is that, it tried to explain world around it (with normal human eyes), sort of like early science, but then it involved in manipulation and propaganda and blackmail... etc..

I don't see how evolution, casinos and porn are related to space travel.

Because Christians are bright enough to be able to apply Christianity to all manners of things that didn't exist in the time of Christ

So basically making things up to force a story fit the real world, making connections that aren't there, like the above poster demonstrated.

"Christians are bright enough"

hahahaha, you mean with all their critical and independant thinking?

What are you talking about?

Do you have the foggiest idea of how philosophy works?

Yes, taking lessons learned from one set of circumstances and applying them to another is "making things up."

The Bible is not philisophical.

Philosophy:
The study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, and existence, esp. when considered as an academic discipline.

Knowledge, reality, and existence are not compatible with Christianity.

The Bible is nothing BUT philosophy, you goof

Okay, you've demonstrated your ignorance of the Bible, philosophy and religion, so I guess this discussion is over. Thanks for the larfs.

And you've said absolutely nothing in relation to the point, likewise.
