Hey there! Welcome to ATS, I have only been here a short time myself. Seems like forever already. Flag for your first thread. I'm sure you will do just fine, don't let the "trolls" get to you, some people really just try to bait. My advice is to ignore them and like the the gremlins, don't feed them or they get uglier.

I noticed you are in Phoenix, I used to live in Mesa. Saw my first "dust storm" and "flash floods" that evaporate....very strange. I used to work for Smitty's. Ever heard of them? Not sure if they are still in business... they used to have 26 stores back then...combination grocery/dept. store...fun place to shop and I enjoyed working there.

Yes, my husband said he remembers the big Smitty's stores, but has not seen any locally, Not many left He thinks.
Dust Storms Scare me, So much dirt and wind. I like the rain

The winters are so very Mild here compared to where I grow up and lived most of my life.

Not really, but I did enjoy it...like an extended vacation, I got homesick very quickly, the area was okay just to far from my family. It was my ex-husbands idea to go because he wanted to get away (my parent's didn't approve) his thought I was a gold digger. We were both very young though he handled it better than I did...eventually we moved back...it was the downfall of our short-lived marriage. Moving back that is...but probably the right path to take in hindsight.

The Human World has always been governed by the Animal Instincts of Man. Although it may seem that everything is "BROKEN"...this is only because there are so many of us.

Only a few hundred years ago...people were much more violent and there was much less empathy. The reason that it doesn't seem so is that we have much more powerful weapons and greater numbers.
