I went through this same fight about the RFID requirement thing on Facebook over the summer. That was worse than this, because the FB people were a
lot nastier without even knowing what they were talking about.
I did my research, and found that all the "debunking" all came back to the same Snopes article mentioned earlier.
In truth, the original language in the bill DID include the idea that all Americans be chipped. However, due to universal outcry, it was removed.
What was put in its place was the language regarding implantable Class II medical devices, which includes the RFID chip.
My personal take on it is that the language in the law is vague and does allow for such things, although there is no timeline or actual gameplan for
The infrastructure is in place for this to occur, but in typical sheep-like fashion, there will be some story which will cause people to want to get
it, thinking that it makes them "safer" or less likely to be hassled by the authorities.
