and I am so happy.
they were all a bunch of nasty stressheads that made every day an effing misery.

Got a new job, completely dfferent = CLEANING hahahahah -> I am an Administrator and I am doing some data entry for a Tender for them right now but main job is cleaning. hehehehehe = so farout and crazy but everyone I have met so far are really happy and even though it is hard work, (labour intensive) they are so funny and happy.

What a difference. I came home from work today and I am happy. yippeee.

It is weird cos I have been applying for Gov jobs and they take ages and then this one came along and now, I am thinking.. I might stick at this one instead. Cleaning is better on my eyes too so maybe it is a win win?

Glad you're happy, and actually got another job instead of abusing the system. Best of luck.

If it makes you happy and it puts food on the table it's well worth it!

thx so much. As for abusing the system. I hate being on a system. I am glad I don't have to go there xD

it is good that we have benefits for those who need it though in AU. Some Countries do not. Anyway, it is a drop in my pay but I laughed so much today = money isn't everything, happiness is. Well... that is how I feel about it.

Congrats

Won't be long before you hate that job too.

My wife does that crap. Quits her job, when she finds another one, "greatest freakin job ever!"

2 months later quits because it is too demanding

Very good ~~~

Some times a change of pace does wonders for a person's moral.
Different kind of "stress".

And the people you work around makes a huge difference too, IMO.
Sounds like you made the right choice.

Good Luck......and may you stay happy.

ETA: Not to mention it takes courage to take the plunge and actually make a change like that.....

It does make a difference who you work with, the People are happier. I can't remember the last time I came home happy from work. I was in my last job for over a year and most of the time. I would say "Good Morning" and all I would get for a response was a grunt. They were unhappy and they hate their job. So, it was a risk, especially in these times due to the economy but it has worked out.

Congratulations on getting a job that not just makes you smile, but is in a happy environment... for me that is one of the most important aspects of working anywhere.. worked in far too many miserable environments and grumpy people really do grind you down day in, day out.. so good for you.. hope you have fun and many more smiles

Good for you Thurisaz, reading your OP reminds me of a line that I agree with also from Bruce Almighty...

"People underestimate the benefit of good ole manual labour, there`s freedom in it,some of the happiest people in the world go home smelling to high heaven at the end of the day"

thx, you are right, miserable fargon bastages really do grind you down and after today, I felt like I was a little more carefree and wanted to be a bit more silly. Some of the women are a lot older than me and they have great attitudes, they just don't give a fudge and I think it might be a good influence for me.

In the office, it was too seriarse. I don't give a number 2 about it now. hehehee

Going to be honest with you here, a few years ago I was working in a backstabbing environment that made me very miserable.. I could earn lots of money (IT & Telecoms) but no matter how much cash I had I could never cheer myself up outside work, In the end I threw in the towel, I am not a nasty back stabbing person and did not want to become like my colleagues, so I opted for a lower level job in SaR (Search and Rescue) nothing important, but the environment was really cheerful and happy, and coming home each night with a smile instead of a frown is brilliant.

Am so glad you have found a role that puts a smile on your face

thx ^

I have only been there since Friday and just got back from having dinner with everyone. We just finished one part of the tender, start on the other tommorrow.

In the 13 months I worked at the other place, I never socialised with any of them.
