Or are you going to just stay bitter and see it all crash and burn,
I'd like to see it crash and burn. We always need a cycle of destruction for rebirth. Hopefully can be done right this time.

I don't see things getting better, but we've weathered worse storms before.
Well said. We've been through much worse and survived as a country.
Let's curb the general negativity for any one president... Many have got us to where we are now.
I think all we are doing now is polishing the brass on the titanic, and we are all to blame for what happens next. However, united we could all be part of the solution.

the problems facing this country that have been the most damaging were started under the Roosevelt administration
I can't believe anyone still believes this crap anymore- it's like those people who claim the holocaust never happened, or the world is only 6000 years old.
You realize that the most prosperous society in history was after Roosevelt's reforms right?
Regulation is nothing but wealth destruction, job destruction, and totalitarianism
This is just insanity.

I think you are completely focused on the wrong things.
Our political system is completely non functional. Congress is willing to do nothing that is even slightly controversial. It would be deadlocked no matter which candidate for president won. the country has gigantic economic problems and neither side is even willing to discuss it remotely truthfully. The voters have proven they are idiots by voting back nearly every incumbent for this do nothing sellout congress. The president is issuing hundreds of executive orders and for some reason everyone seems fine following them as if they are law, even though they completely undermine the constitution.
What I'm getting at is the system is hopelessly broken, and you should not be focused on perpetuating it, you should focusing on how it can be fixed or replaced.
We are not going to make it four more years without a depression, you need to be focused on how to be prepared for that.

4 more years of being told I hate poor people
4 more years of being told I hate women
4 more years of being told I hate African Americans
4 more years of being told I hate Hispanics
4 more years of being told I hate Gays
4 more years of being told I hate the middle class
4 more years of being told how evil corporations are
4 more years of being told how evil banks are
4 more years of the mass media ignoring everything inherently wrong with the current administration
4 more years of how the GOP is obstructionist.
4 more years of tax the rich
4 more years of the liberal superiority complex from a party that claims everyone is "equal"
4 more years of "like how totally awesome Obama and the Democrats are".
4 more years of Blame Bush which makes Bush the longest serving Potus in US history.

Yeah but you can see here by this thread that that will never happen. They are playing some like fiddles and the lemmings would just follow the stupid leaders right off a cliff.

I'm done with surviving, screw that I want to see drastic change...
my faith is lacking that anyone in Washington really cares about you or me.
Many people believe that Social Security is an “earned right.” That is, they think that because they have paid Social Security taxes, they are entitled to receive Social Security benefits. The government encourages that belief by referring to Social Security taxes as “contributions,” as in the Federal Insurance Contribution Act. However, in the 1960 case of Fleming v. Nestor, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that workers have no legally binding contractual rights to their Social Security benefits, and that those benefits can be cut or even eliminated at any time.
