Not a single Gop member of the house voted for the care act.

We can talk about the fringe wing all you want as in the fringe wing running this country in to the ground and plays the racist card, sexist card, homophobe care, fox news card, how awesome the Democrats are card, how the Democrats are never wrong about anything whatsoever card all day long.
edit on 19-11-2012 by neo96 because: (no reason given)

Because the people who would have voted for it or played ball
Would have been ousted by the GOP.

That is a mute point

Oh democrats have plenty of warts, but it's hard to see them when they are standing beside Jabba the Hut.

And the Democrats are wrong often, but when they end up debating whether Paul Revere warned the British or if the earth was created just 5k years ago...whether dinosuar fossils are liberal conspiracy or whether or not women who are raped can get pregnant..ad nauseum....then yes, dems might be forgiven for thinking they are right in those endless flat earth debates.

Again...Dems have a tonnage of warts, are wrong often...but standing next to the folks that think science is "lies from the pit of hell"...it is easy to be right.

How about the GOP start making life difficult for the Democrats? By acknowledging facts? Math? Science? History? Cuz while it was funny to watch Fox News with faces of shock and despair on election night, comming to the realization that folks like Nate Silver weren't just gay liberals doing that communist math thing...it stops being funny when you realize that reality disconnect extends to people governing our nation and writing laws.

I am a big fan of conservatism...we need it...but the current GOP? They are not conservatives...they are nut jobs.

Quite right Neo. I was watching a movie last night.... and I started to pay attention to the dialogue.... a couple invited a teenager to dinner and they were talking about how they loved Cambodia and the teen said he had never gone outside the US, so they said oh you should visit Cambodia, and they went on about being vegan and green and so forth. Of course they were drinking wine and giving it to the teen... and the whole dialogue seemed to be about showing off how intellectual they were, the liberals that they were.... never mind they gave wine to an underage kid and then she slept with him a few days laters.... so both alcohol and sex to an underage kid and yet they thought they were so intellectually and spiritually superior... of course the dialogue came right out of the mind of a liberal scriptwriter. I have observed comments suggesting that conservatives are stupid backwoods hicks and liberals are these intellectually superior, well traveled people.
I was wondering why they would want to go to Cambodia where the communist chinese cause so much trouble.

Oh yes, and at the end of the movie they show the teen traveling in Cambodia and he meets a girl and tells her some guy on a bike is Khmer Rouge and how he thinks he is kinda cool. How is that for slipping in a subliminal pro communist message? I bet no one ever even notices this.

You've pretty much got the republicans nailed. They're all RINOs. In other words, they're the same as democrats. That's what I've been trying to tell you, They never saw tax they didn't want to apply. They can't find one thing to cut. If they do cut, they spend it somewhere else. The debt just keeps going up. Get this in your head, our biggest pronlem isn't how old the earth is, or if there's a god, or if poor people are getting enough welfare. The elephant in the room is the national debt. Until that's fixed, nothing is fixed.

We're not talking about people. We're talking about politicians. Sure there's one or two honest ones, but not enough to stop the bleeding. An since you mentioned it, i'll just point some of the very few honest politicians are republicans. Don't let the truth make you angry. Learn from it. The majority are corrupt on both sides.

Except for the ones the libs hate so much and have to demonize. Someone yesterday posted something from Forbes magazine, a fictional story about how the Tea Party is some vigilante extremist militia and going all Revolution on the govt and the story was discussing Tea Party militia taking over some town and the response from the govt would be to put them all down.

Too bad it was really all a projection of the OWS camp, as they were the ones throwing rocks at police while the police were forming lines of battle. The Tea Party rallies I have been to have all been more like 4th of July picnics.

Never the truth from the liars, but only projecttion of their own malice and intentions.

4 more years of being told I hate women
4 more years of being told I hate African Americans
4 more years of being told I hate Hispanics
4 more years of being told I hate Gays
Do you ever watch Fox News? They say some extremely insulting things about the groups you listed. I've heard insulting things come straight out of their mouths about each of the groups you listed.

4 more years of being told how evil corporations are
4 more years of being told how evil banks are
THEY ARE EVIL!!!! Wake up. It has nothing to do with politics to call those people evil.
4 more years of the mass media ignoring everything inherently wrong with the current administration
I'll give you that they do ignore his faults, ONLY if you admit republicans say EVERYTHING Obama does as being wrong, even when it's right...
4 more years of how the GOP is obstructionist.
They aren't?

4 more years of tax the rich
The rich's tax rate is pretty low right now, with all of the loopholes. I see nothing wrong with increasing their taxes a little. The ONLY way to fix our deficit is to increase taxes and cut spending. It's the only mathematically possible way.

4 more years of the liberal superiority complex from a party that claims everyone is "equal"
I don't even know wth you're talking about here. I don't see liberals do anything greater in an attempt to support their party than republicans do....
4 more years of "like how totally awesome Obama and the Democrats are".
and Republicans are going to go on for 4 more years about "Obama is an evil socialist dictator who wants to take our guns." And he most likely won't install socialism and won't take anyone's guns.

4 more years of Blame Bush which makes Bush the longest serving Potus in US history.
Democrats don't actually blame much on Bush, and they only blame him when republicans blame Obama solely for the economy. you guys have repeated that "blame Bush" line so many times you actually believe it. It's just not true.

That quote you give applies to you....no offense.

Neo, you know I respect and like you as a person - so please take this as constructive....

We have a lot of work to do in this nation to get ourselves out of a hole that is 30 years, or more, deep. Do you want to be part of the solution? Are you willing to to compromise and do what's best for all - even if that means having to accept some things that don't exactly match up with your personal views?

Or are you going to just stay bitter and see it all crash and burn, just so you can say "I told you so?"

I'm willing to find the middle ground to do what's best for everyone, the wealthy and corporations included. Are you willing to include the disenfranchised and poor in your vision of a perfect America?

This game is no longer about who wins - it's getting to a point where we all win or we all lose.

~Heff

thank you. You responded quite eloquently.
I agree.
Certain factions on the right really have gone off the deep end. I understand being afraid.
What I would like to ask is if you are concerned you will be accused of "hating homosexuals".. well you have to ask yourself ... Do you? etc...

So.. what was the name of the movie? You are making a lot of insinuations about it being some "liberal" film yet fail to name the movie? Did you make this up or something? How big of a movie was it? Was it in the major theatres? Or was it an independant film?... ????

So question for you....

Do you hate all or some of those things? Or do you feel that you care about your fellow citizen regardless of sexual orientation and race?

You just state that you don't want to "hear" those things yet, can you honestly say that any of them are not true? Maybe not for YOU but for someone else? Maybe there is a group of people who do hate all those groups and really do want to just be obstructionist.

Sorry that if that annoys you ....

What he means is this is what the liberals have been saying about people who are not Democrats since the class and race warfare of this POTUS started in 08, and we can expect 4 more years of it. From what I have seen of the gloating and telling us to get over it(the Marxist in Chief's re-election) I would say he is right in his assessment.

Most stuff out of Hollywood is pretty liberal. Liberals constantly depict Christians as nutcases running around murdering poor innocent people, Christians are almost always depicted in a negative light. You know it's true. Even if a film doesn't have any Christians as main characters, they love to poke fun at people who don't believe in their Climate Change theories. In this case, we have the intellectuals who pine after the exotic communism of Cambodia.

I'm sorry, but in the last 4 years I have really taken to analyzing Hollywood stuff much more deeply than just watching for entertainment. The more I look, the more I see.
I also can predict stuff in movies too. Like last night I told hubby the woman was going to have an affair right off the bat. Of course I was right. Of course that could be just good directing from the director, as the flirtation was fairly obvious. But it is also knowing where a lot of scripts are going to go.

And no I didn't make it up at all. I almost quoted the lines to you.

The movie was "Book of Love" and you can look it up on the Internet. 2004

And don't mix it up with the comedy of the same name.

In the movie's favor, she does practice yoga and sings like a songbird.

I thought the world was gonna blow up in December.. If the Mayans are correct there wont be another 4 years of anything.

In other news, I didnt vote for either party. I'll let you guys figure out where my vote went. If real change is to be achieved, both republicans and democrats (bloods and crips), must be removed from all government posts. The current government is rotten to its very core.

Hey bubb, it you’re trying to express logic to a lot of the liberal folk here, I wouldn’t even waste your time. You will be getting nowhere real fast.

But if you are truly determined to try to pound some understanding into a liberal's head, then, the only apparent means at this point is to go to all the tedious trouble of finding some so-called "objective data" – only with these credentials attached does the carefully shuttered liberal mind allow new ideas to enter. This may seem like reinventing the wheel, as obviously the authority you cited earlier has already done the research, found the facts, and evaluated them using the full benefit of his experience and education, in a manner that is obviously far superior to any analysis or understanding by unqualified individuals; it is simply an unfortunate and unpleasant fact of the liberal mentality that he needs the crutch of believing that the truth you are trying to convey has been somehow anointed by having so-called "supporting evidence" attached to it. Without this ritual of purification, he simply won't listen. It doesn't matter if you are quoting the President himself; he has an obsessive need to question, and – like a dog which must circle three times before lying down – he cannot rest until that obsession has been satisfied.

Neo has the logic of a ball in a pin ball machine.

And you clearly has spent too much time writing that post to
Have it so completely wrong.
I wasn't talking about NEO, I was talking about everyone else...!
