Black people for sale on ebay?

I'm in no way posting this topic to offend or take racial jabs at ethnic people or in this case "black people".

But a friend of mine, who is African American pointed out something very strange regarding google/ebay,

if you enter "black people" and google for the results the very top of the page suggests ebay has black people for sale.

Check it out for yourself

Oh I know, I know I shouldnt. But it's just... funny. I in no way support selling black people.

I'm sure its not a legally binding contract, unlike that vote I bought in Ohio.

You could type bigfloppydonkeydk in your search and it would show up for sale on E-bay too. Try it. Any time I do a search, E-cay has what Im searching for for sale. Evn if its an Idea. I think they have softwar that takes the word your searching for and uses it for an advertisement in your search.

It's very strange because "white people" "asian people "anykind of people" all have very different search results compared to "black people".

The "black people" search returns an exclusive ebay web advertising sponsor link at the top instead of the common advertising we see on the right side.

Why the difference?

Yeah funny thing though is when you put in jewish people or spanish people eBays box doen't even come up.

And when you put black people look at the description:

People Black For Sale
Low Priced People Black
Huge Selection! (aff)
ebay.com

Huge Selection!

If you put in negro people the results are the black people for sale.

Wonder what the NAACP will think of this?

When i type in google.com it keeps switching to google.ie and the black people thing isn't there or is it just gone? Ah i see it is......

Looks like google/ebay fixed the problem when googling for "black people". Perhaps it was this thread on ATS that brought things to their attention?

I did contact the NAACP via (866) 63-NAACP and their website.

The woman I spoke to said that she was appauled and would see to it that it was removed immediately.

Guess she was offended.

Ebay must be a hideous racist organization that has this hidden code that causes it to pop up so that other racists can guffaw at it. erh, must'nt it?

As funny as this discussion is, I remember a few month before there was a similar joke from a german couple that faked to sell their kid. It was obvious fake and I had to hear "the bad germans" screams again.

clicking on the link was a dead end but if you search ebay for black people you get a crap load of items:
