I've been suggesting to people for some years now that politics and TV wrestling are somehow affilliated with each other.

Its fake; two or more performers get in the ring and puff their chests out while spouting all manner of slander at one another, etc. etc..

Well, now I think I've got my proof!

From the article:

" Hartsburg used the online auction house eBay to sell a 5-by-2-inch space on the side of his face for $15,000 to an anonymous Romney fan."

I'm wondering if this falls under the spending of all that anonymous PAC funding...

I will ask my 11 year old son about that and get back with you.
He knows them all and collects the cards.
If something was amiss,I would be first to know, believe me.

Pro-wrestler Eric Hartsburg sold space on his face for $15K to Romney fan. Now he’ll be reminded of Election Day loss everytime he looks into a mirror.

Looks like he wrestled for some indies out of Ohio.

Some wrestling terms you could apply to politics..

"Work" - a staged fight with a predetermined outcome. aka - about 99.5% of wresting.

"Shoot" - a real fight - aka about .5% of wrestling

"Jobber" - he gets paid to lose.

"Mark" - A fan. Doesn't know or care its fake.

"Smark" or "Smart-Mark" - knows it fake, but still likes it.

"Kayfabe" - Wrestlers who know its fake pretending it is real.

I'm thinking most of could be applied to politics.

Pro wrestler doesn't always mean WWF etc. I used to watch these crazy fights on the MSG network, at like 1AM, it was called ECW. It was pro wrestling, there arena was a bingo hall, in Philly I think it was. Then it got bought by the bigboys, went mainstream and sucks now

I haven't watched TV in years, so I am not sure whether he is a famous type pro, or just a local pro.

Maybe 'affiliated' was not the right word - perhaps more along the line of 'they share some similarities'

Thanks for the comments.
