It is a vicious spiral for sure. The Govt bring in the drugs helps get people hooked then uses their crimes to justify building a police state.

They could have adequate support systems and rehabilitation but then they couldn't justify federalizing the police for our safety

Way to go ATS. Way to let that ignorance shine brighter than any beacon possible.
no offense to u but I think it has a lot to do with the noobs on here lately. I see a lot of noob rage on here as.of recent

The guy in the video has some problems. I would even say he has some serious problems. Aside from the doom music he likes, there's just something wrong with him. I feel sorry for his 'babe'. I feel as if by listening to his 106 videos at one sitting would seriously wrack my consciousness; but for laughs, and better understanding of his problems, I did catch several of his talks.

I don't know what it is, but in the latest bug out video, the quality of his voice is more revealing than others.

He always starts with the rhetorical question 'what's going on?' Like he gives a flying crap. Just another NPD deception to initiate another monologue wherein his pinhead perception of the world is supposed to trump every other pin's thought stream. Avoid taking in too many of these videos, if at all possible.

California will no longer be referred to as the "the golden state" but rather the ghetto state. I see homeless live under bridges and nearby parks here in east Compton and not to mention the trash that is left behind in these areas. Gangs also have no remorse for businesses nearby as they tag and bag property to their leisure/ Here's a pic I took nearly a year ago and it's still there to this day!

Those homeless under the bridge might get kicked out someday when police comes and raids them.

I'd like you to check out the statistics on California Crime, because guess what????? It was much worse in the 70's. So what did Cali look like back then I wonder?

Statistics
Also it was worse in the 80's and 90's but hey California has never been dangerous, or a state full of homeless since California is the best state at paying taxes!

The rich to poor gap being the highest in 30 years might have something to do with it too. My advice anti up rich people, otherwise this will continue.

Rich/Poor CA

It's terrible that it has come to this for so many people. I watched the vid of the guy by the river and asked myself, 'and this is a first world country?' It is so sad

How can we call ourselves first world nations when many of our citizens are living like this, no food, no home, just nothing, and no-one cares.

I would have took that guy some thing to eat and drink and gave him a few quid, and the little cat too which was following him around.

This world is effed up - we have so many who have nothing, and so few who have much more than they need.

because we ARE NOT a socialist nation, and the only thing we are #1 in, is the military...everything else we are way down on the list
i live in stockton, and we plan our day by what time of day it is, and where we go...downtown is out, being almost 60, i don't go down there, i might as well paint a big red target on myself if i went. even in other areas, it has gotten so bad, that cars with punks drive around looking for people walking or riding a bicycle, they will pull up quickly, pull out a gun and rob them, get back in the car and they are gone, some people have been shot, most are just pistol whipped or beaten up.

I'm the last of my family to be living in this state. Everyone else is dead or moved.

I'm outta here next fall.

so the unions are to blame for walmart, target, mcdonalds, walgreens, rite-aid, banks, macy's, 7-11, sears, piggly-wiggly, dunkin donuts...etc., for paying piss poor wages?
union jobs only account for 11.4% of the U.S. workforce in a 2010 study
en.wikipedia.org...

so your answer is to pay people LESS? yeah...right...that's the answer

My advice, stop blaming these puppets. By now you know they are only
actors playing a part. Start naming the names of the people who
are really behind all this. Might help break this left right paradigm that
many are stuck in.

Not if I have anything to say about it .... Agenda 21 has several anti-american steps contained within it, most are so foreign they will be immediately rejected as communist scum bag orders -- I tasked one of the smartest people I know to analysis Agenda 21 and develop a counter measure I call Agenda 69.
when he finishes his work - I will post it here under the same name.

ok i'm curious to agenda 69, we talking huge orgies and group love here?

seriously though i'm glad people are thinking now and are becoming more aware of what we have to deal with if we're ever going to make things good.

that tweeking out clip is complete rubbish, anybody with any experience in this field can see straight through this, the clean skin, the excellent teeth, prescription glasses, necklace, full face, clean clothes no tears or stains on the legs etc., no marks on the hands or knuckles fingers.

I mean if you had to wade through 30,000 homeless, workless humans - just to get to work, go to lunch, go anywhere ... I think they would have more impact than distributed all over the place - plus Washington DC is just swimming with doe.....

Good idea, Sir. Bernanke is definitely one man we must put in jail. The sooner the better. Maybe right next to Eric Holder.

Homelessness has many reasons behind it which always keeps you second guessing yourself as to whether or not you ought to render unto those that ask of you. I gave a few bucks to a couple that drove up to us as we were going in to a resaurant one Sunday at noon not long ago. They gave me their speil and as soon as I walked over to their van/wagon, whatever they call them now days, I could see the inside was trashed pretty badly. Not dirty as much as it had parts and pieces missing here and there. Driver's door inside panel missing, parts of the dash gone. I could tell they'd spent a lot of time in there but don't recall seeing any evidence of the kids they claimed were elsewhere at the time. It also made me wonder why so many of the panhandlers in our area of West Texas seem to be overweight. The lady could barely fit behind the wheel. It takes a lot of calories to get that big!

All this being said I have a lot of problems with those that blame low wages for the increase in homelessness. My brother has a lawn care service and can hardly hold on to his employees. He's complied with the wage laws, taken out tons of insurance for himself, his business, family, he pays beaucoup bucks in to unemployment insurance and that's all before upkeep on his equipment so it's safe and reliable to operate, taxes on the office, fuel fees, tires and all of that. Do you know an industrial grade lawnmower costs THOU$AND$$$ and might last a year and a half? Then you have the bleeding hearts out there saying we need to pay more? The market for any service only supports a certain price. It's economics, not limitless compassion with someone else's money that wins out over time. The only people he can attract for employment, even before the current oil boom, are those that were almost homeless themselves. Most have families ... multiple families all too often, and could not even write their names! We're talking dregs here, people! They are out there multiplying even as I write and you read this making more and more people just like themselves. How DID we get to this point? How DO you teach personal responsibility??

Often I tell myself "there but for the grace of God go I" but then I have to remember - no, I would NOT let myself get that low. At some point you have to tell yourself stop, think, you have a future, save something for that time. If you've participated in bringing kids into this world your life is no longer your own. Think about what it was like in the 30's. Yes, wandering bums all over the place but they would work where they could, send money back home and come home when they could. They didn't stagnate and become a festering wound on society. They worked, they survived, they preserved their dignity or at least the memory of it. This generation, I'm afraid, never learned what dignity is. All they know to do is hold out their hand the first time they get hungry due to the fact they've fallen into the trap of getting too far ahead of themselves in the income category. They acquired their cellphones - even before Obama was handing them out - and outward trapping of prosperity before they thought about taking care of the basics.

I honestly have to wonder if the gene pool we all find ourselves in has gotten so shallow we don't have the depth to continue on. All societies eventually fade away or are consumed by other competing ones. Since there's no other society out there bigger than America to merge into I have to assume we're headed to a dictatorial oblivion because there isn't enough brain power out there to move forward while this morass of poverty overwhelms us.

I guess seeing homeless when I was young had an effect to not let it happen to me. I have a cabin a hideout a motorhome and large hunk of land. Had the homeless move into my woods but asked them to leave but they wouldn't so we waited till they all headed to their free lunch and picked up all their stuff and took it to a dumpster. We made out with over $3k and a couple of nice computers. Bank statements that said between the 4 they had over $50k in the bank. They set up a couple miles down the road till somebody moved them on. They just wanted to live for free and no rules.

Yeah I remember how bad the Homeless problem was in California. We had about 20 of them hanging on, and this was a small town mind you.

I live in Austin TX right now, don't see that many homeless, for the most part they look more like backpackers than homeless. All with Ipods and pack, not like the unshaved and unwashed mass that I saw populating my home town.

I see a destructive process occurring in our country that is very alarming. I think it has a root cause that I would like to explore with you all. I approach it from what I believe is a core wisdom. I offer Biblical scriptures as evidence that this has been an issue throughout history. We are alarmed by the increasing lawlessness and crime that we see around us. I offer this as a reply to what we are seeing.

Proverbs 29:18

New International Version
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but blessed is he who keeps the law.
New American Standard
Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, But happy is he who keeps the law.
King James Version
Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.
American Standard Version
Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint; But he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

America has lost its vision. In the latest election we were provided with two political approaches as a plan for America. I personally found them both unsatisfying, divisive, and highly partisan. The election results demonstrated a split pretty much down the middle. Whether you are religious or not, and whatever your political bent, I would suggest that most of us would agree that there appears to be no clear and unifying vision for our country. For the vision to have power to transform our country, there needs to be a greater consensus. What I see at work are power and money resources being utilized to attempt to dominate the definition of that vision and in the process dividing our country.

What does it mean to be an American. I see a disturbing amount of paranoia and prejudice attempting to modify our country so that it no longer represents a land of the free and the home of the brave. However, It will take a brave nation to meet the future. We have lots of challenges before us. We have had them before and we have found solutions. That gives me some sense of optimism.

I believe for us to regain a national vision we have to but aside a lot of pride and anger. The priority for our government isn’t to see who has the most seats and the most power. The priority needs to be what is best for our country! That will take cooperation and compromise, just like in a marriage, or any organization.

How important is a national vision? Without it I believe people will cast off restraint and run wild. I believe we are seeing the evidence of that now. Without a vision people lose hope. If I can’t achieve the American dream by being able to have a job and a home then I will take what I want with the only power I have left. I will threaten, steal and take what I want. The downside is a scary thought!

This work and movement toward unity must be something that trickles up. If we as citizens don’t get involved then there is the danger that government will utilize its power to control those who they see as out of control. These conditions can lead to what happened in fascist countries. Then where will the American vision be?

Wow this is getting really depressing as I might be one of the homeless in LA by the time I get out there.
Granted, I have family and friends who could provide me some shelter, but in my archaic way of thinking, I'd hate to impose upon them...as like a burden. Already suffering from nerve-wracking guilt because my parents kicked me out of my house for a few days last year and had to stay with my then partner.

It also scares me that people are getting so bold with their crimes, and I certainly do not want to go through the trauma of sexual assault again...

As much as I really want to have a career in film, I'm finding it harder and harder to see if it's worth the trouble I will probably go through

Then again, I didn't study the finer points of panhandling/fortune telling for nothing, I guess.
