Well the idea that he was God didn't
come from his mouth... So it had to
come from somewhere...
I would assume they started believing
he was God in the flesh after he died...
and returned.

ya maybe they started assuming that, but i think the apostles were not believing anything new.
Do you know any account telling why they were tortured and killed? exactly what they claimed about Jesus pbuh?
