Yep you heard it

I was reading a few threads on ATS and alot of people are bashing Fox News
They laugh that Fox News was your source? HAHAHAHA and posts like that

But how come these same people don't say that about MSNBC or CNN?

MSNBC is a horrible news station, maybe Dylan Ratigan is sometimes good but other than that it's SUCKS!!!
So why do they only hate Fox?

I'll tell you why... it's because though MSNBC spreads propoganda all the time it's liberal commentary so it's fine!

Same thing like all those who hated Bush for what they considered as war crimes now give Obama the pass after he expanded the war into the entire middle east after campaigning as a peace candidate.

Some people really really need a reality check
And some consider themselves skeptics yet still behave like this

People don't like Fox because it spreads lies and hate. Yes, MSNBC is partisan, but it also tends to stick to facts a whole lot better than Fox. Also, unlike Fox, MSNBC has some ethical bounds, so it doesn't show people committing suicide live on air. And YES, Fox did this on the Shepard Smith Show (and Shep is the only decent journalist Fox has).

Did you watch the biased election night coverage on Fox? Fox's own statisticians already had determined that Obama won Ohio, but because Karl Rove, a partisan hack pundit, denied it, Fox had to walk its anoouncement back for a while -- based on what? Just Karl Rove's say so. Fox's own survey found that Obama was ahead by 5 points and yet all through the last two months of the campaign the official word at Fox was that Romney was ahead and that all the polls showing Obama ahead were biased.

Then there are just the plain incompetencies of Fox, like when they had a segment about the Lincon-Douglas debates and showed a picture of Frederick Douglass, the African-American abolitionist, who never debated Lincoln; it was Stephan Douglas who did. Then there's Fox big cheese, Bill O'Reilly who wrote a book on Lincoln, which the Ford Theatre Museum won't allow in its gift shop because of the inaccuracies and language errors in it. Fox also has a reputation for putting up a picture of the wrong politician involving a story about a particular politician; it also misidentifies party affiliation not infrequently. I don't watch Bill O'Reilly much myself, but the few times I have, he as made gross factual errors are vastly misrepresented the facts.

No doubt your argument will be that MSNBC does the same sort of stuff, but I challenge you to provide any examples. I freely acknowledge that MSNBC is a DNC propaganda organ, BUT it sticks to the facts, unlike Fox.

As for CNN, it is just plain establishment MSM. To claim it has a liberal bias is laughable -- as is bothering to watch it.

There's a reason people scoff at Fox as a news source. It has a horrible reputation -- and deservedly so. There was a fairly recent study conducted, which showed that Fox viewers are the worst informed members of society -- worse than people who don't follow the news whatsoever. However, even a broken clock is write twice a day, so I imagine Fox gets a few stories corrects and, on occasion, breaks factually correct stories, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want people outside of loyal Fox viewers to take a claim/story seriously, then provide a source other than Fox -- and I don't mean Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, the Drudge Report, the World Daily Network, the Breitbart Report or the Washington TImes. These are all highly partisan propaganda organs that twist the facts or make them up out of whole cloth.

There is a lot of obvious partisanship on both sides on this forum. I am used to seeing it on most all forums. We know where people stand, and we can spot posts just trying to stir up a hornets nest. I am an independent, but do align with conservative thinking often. That being said, I am really socially liberal and fiscally conservative.

I see biased reporting on all news media, and I mean all. I see it on alt community forums, CNN, MSNBC, FOX, Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity, and any talk radio show. Everyone is biased and sadly news is more about opinon than reporting the classic 4 W's. Everyone seems to be a commentator today, and sadly we have more and more wag the dog stuff going on daily. This youtube piece was pretty revealing about how media seeks to control out thinking:

They have faked news footage by pretending to be in a war zone and in fact they are in a studio in America! They fake bombs going on and gunfire to give background for a Pro-Palestinian story etc.. They all do it. The one thing you can depend on, and that is if it's something the elite really want, then they will all line up together.

Fox really is the worst "news"outlet there is. The only thing worse is right wing talk radio. I guess what irks me the most is when you have an on air personality or show that only ever goes after one side. As a registered independent, it makes me sick when both sides aren't held accountable. How can anyone have blinders on like that? As an example, If Obama did something...let him have it, but have the balls to go after Romney if he was wrong too. Why do people let their "side" have a free pass?

Do you recall the name of the blonde bimbo FOX used to shill a veritable jihad against Muslims?

Long hair, wore high boots and long skirts, and not a morning went by she didn't incite absolute hatred.

Enjoy your treat(s).

Obama won the election, the dems are in power and she, the spoilt little rich girl cheerleader (as I see her coming across) expects the person with the popular mandate to be the one to be conciliatory. The sheer arogance of this stuck up little b!tch.

Maybe I have a skewed view on things, but imo, if the people of the USA have voted Obama in over the other bloke, then shouldn't the other party capitulate and allow their elected leader do his thing?

Journalists can editorialize however they want. Most people can see that for what it is. One person's opinion. The person may be right or wrong.

Opposition parties in parliamentary governments never capitulate but they are usually forced to accede to the government's wishes because they are out voted on every bill.

Under the US system the President's party would have to have a majority in the House and Senate for this to occur. At present they still have to deal with a Republican majority in the House and it is the House that is supposed to control the nation's purse strings. The President has to make them see reason or to compromise with them on spending bills. That's just the way it is for the most part, in the US.

I think the issue in this post is that Steve doesn't understand how the US govt operates per the Constitution and rules. What is called "checks and balances" that no branch of govt has untoward power. This was done to stave off tyrannical power, such as that which the British King had over the colonists. Congress doesn't have to "capitulate to the other bloke" just because of an election, although we do want usually at least some bi-partisan cooperation. If the "other bloke" is too partisan and appeals only to his ummmmm partisan base, then it is sometimes up to Congress to filibuster. Now The Senate majority leader Harry Reid has decided he wants to eliminate filibustering because he wants to break the rules to his favor and force a Progressive agenda. Reid is not the least bit interested in maintaining Constitutional adherence because he is a Democratic Socialist wanting to impose his ideology on the American people.

To an individual I will not name but who had concerns about Carter, I must reiterate that it is fact that he is Tri Lateral Commission and supported by Brzezinski.

As previously noted in Pawns of the Global Elite, Barack Obama was groomed for the presidency by key members of the Trilateral Commission. Most notably, it was Zbigniew Brzezinski, co-founder of the Trilateral Commission with David Rockefeller in 1973, who was Obama’s principal foreign policy advisor.

And the influence on current POTUS

For anyone who doubts the Commission’s continuing influence on Obama, consider that he has already appointed no less than eleven members of the Commission to top-level and key positions in his Administration.
◦Secretary of Treasury, Tim Geithner
◦Ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice
◦National Security Advisor, Gen. James L. Jones
◦Deputy National Security Advisor, Thomas Donilon
◦Chairman, Economic Recovery Committee, Paul Volker
◦Director of National Intelligence, Admiral Dennis C. Blair
◦Assistant Secretary of State, Asia & Pacific, Kurt M. Campbell
◦Deputy Secretary of State, James Steinberg
◦State Department, Special Envoy, Richard Haass
◦State Department, Special Envoy, Dennis Ross
◦State Department, Special Envoy, Richard Holbrooke

Notice that Susan Rice is a TC member. The Susan Rice of notable Benghazi mention.

All the media is in the tank for Obama especially because many in the media are either TC or CFR and the media is controlled. I was appalled at the Fox news coverage of the election this time around. They showed themselves as the controlled opposition who are not as opposed as it might seem.

LOL would you really like me to get you everything Fox news has blatantly lied about, there are lists online. Now with that being said CNN / MSNBC are pretty bad as well, but I believe their hate speech is brought down to a minimum, and during the election I didn't see one false report on Mitt Romney from CNN / MSNBC. That may because Romney gave the democrats enough ammo to not lie but that could also mean that fox news isn't intelligent enough to find away around scare tactics, which is what their brand of news is built on.

I'm a left winger and somewhat rational. I haven't tried to get Fox off the air but if it was shut down I'd open a beer and toast a fair and balanced God.
I want it gone. Think it's dangerous.

No way you can say Fox News, CNN and MSNBC are equal. Fox News takes the blatant lie and manipulation of their viewers to another level and it's not even close. The reason I hate CNN is because they are getting very sensationalist but they don't blatantly lie to their viewers every day(well most of the time anyways) like Fox News does.

MSNBC has Rachael Maddow. She is ace..the rest are a bunch of blowhards and dullards.
Fox has...erm..
Who does Fox have that doesn't intentionally spin and flat out lie?

MSNBC is undoubtedly liberal and partisan..yes. I fully agree and respect this. they give a skewed view of the world.
Fox the same..however, Fox "makes" news..not just comments and reports it..but tries to literally build stories from nothing.
That is my personal issue with Fox..not that they are a neocon shill organization and little more than an extention to the RNC, but that they fabricate false stories...

CNN is neither liberal nor conservative. Liberals get frustrated that CNN ignores stories, facts, etc...same with conservatives I imagine..because they are trying to give the look of impartiality overall.

Conservatives however will call anything not far fringe loony right as liberal, partisan, etc...
Its safe to dismiss those types of people..they have nothing of consequence to add.

They are focusing more on pop culture than actual news..because pop culture is generally neutral in regards to political merit...and thats sad in my opinion.
I think MTV news for grown ups isn't helpful for understanding where we are at.

My view is that you must take sides when there is clearly a correct and incorrect side, no matter who's feelings get hurt..but the views are soo muddy from corporate spin monkeys that stating a truth and fact will get you labelled a heretic as of late...

I don't like the inquisition methods of the corporatists..but more disappointing is the people that fall for it in a age where facts are easily searchable right in your home.

'"Honesty", "Accuracy" is just "Popular Opinion."
And the approval rating's high,
and so someone's gonna die.
Well ABC, NBC, CBS: Bull(spit).
They give us fact or fiction? I guess an even split.
And each new act of war is tonight's entertainment.
We're still the pawns in their game.
As they take eye for an eye until no one can see,
we must stumble blindly forward, repeating history.
Well, I guess we all fit into your slogan
on the fast food marquee:
Red blooded, White skinned oh and the Blues.
Oh and the Blues, I got the Blues! That's me! That's me!'

No. Wrong. Sorry.

Fox news is mentioned more often because it is the most blatant. MSNBC does the same thing and is called out accordingly. It has NOTHING to do with partisanship.

Fox just tends to be infuriating and they are the ones that started this whole pundit whipping opinions while reading the news, type of manipulation. MSNBC followed, but never have I seen anyone do it like Fox. They also opened the doors for hosts to be trashy and treat their guests like idiots and shout at them. Can you imagine anyone calling their guest an idiot on a tv show 20 or 30 years ago (with the few exceptions of shock jocks).

Fox had a FAKE news program they ran late at night that was a comedy skit show! Anyone that turned to Fox news in the middle of the program could have thought it was real. Same with how they use opinion shows to manipulate people coming for news. They have reported articles from TheOnion as true online with NO RETRACTION.

Sure MSNBC has picked up the whole opinion/pundit thing, and that's wrong, but no place has taken it as far as fox. Ask Canada.

We need to establish some sort of credibility rating system and start weeding out the garbage news.

Fox news is biased and partisan but they are good at what they do. They draw in viewers, get high profile guests on both sides of issues, have hosts that know their jobs.
MSNBC is just unprofessional and even more out on the fringes. They're completely in the tank for the administration and are unapologetic about it. Their hosts range from the bad to the actual idiotic. Their ratings suck and if they weren't owned by GE( which pays no taxes ) they'd fold.
I don't like Hannity, never liked Beck, but Bill Oreilly is a guy I watched way back and still do. But the people on MSNBC.... Rachel Maddow... she's a nitwit, like a high school journalist who talks down to middle schoolers thinking she's so brilliant. That pinch faced leftist Odonneell... he's almost as bad( and screwy) a Olbermann was. Matthews... he doesn't take his job seriously at all and I think he has secret contempt for his audience. Al Sharpton.. he's a bonafide clown but beyond his self serving rhetoric he does have some funny comments. And the biggest loser of the bunch, Ed Schultz. You know he WAS a conservative radio host who sold out because he was going nowhere in that far more competetive group. He apes Limbaugh and I think he's always in a pissed off mood because he's stuck in a third rate network surrounded by bozos he thinks aren't fit to fetch him lunch.
I just never shake the feeling that at MSNBC they think if you're watching you must be burned out or radical or just slow and they look down on you for it. At least Fox wants you to watch and makes an effort to get you to.

Fox news frames everything they do and say to ridicule the liberal point of view, there is nothing fair or balanced about it. It is 100% right-wing propaganda in my opinion. Keep taking fox news seriously at your own peril.

The mainstream media is all full of balony. The awake person will know this. That's why there ratings all drop. They get funded by the corps to push certain agenda. MSNBC gets bailouts and millions of dollars to push left propaganda while Fox gets money to push right propaganda. You all know they r full of it because they will only expose enough to create hate and not enough to expose the corruption, for instance everyone who actually did reseach knows that Obama birth certificate is a fraud. However, even fox would cover this up. It shows that the mainstream media is all about control. The pretend to back one side to make u think u have a choice when infact they use it to get people stuck into the right left powerdigm and vote for the lessor evil of the two. When it's the same.
