A dozen female members of the House staunchly defended U.N. ambassador Susan Rice against Republican criticism over her remarks on the deadly Sept. 11 Libya attack, suggesting the GOP lawmakers' comments were racist and sexist. "It is a shame that anytime something goes wrong, they pick on women and minorities," Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, the next chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, told reporters Friday at a Capitol Hill news conference.

"It is a shame that anytime something goes wrong, they pick on women and minorities," Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, the next chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus, told reporters Friday at a Capitol Hill news conference

The House women, a majority of them Africa-American, lashed out at McCain and Graham and demanded that they retract their criticism.

Well this is shocking I tell ya.... The fact that black congresswomen are whining about racism and sexism, surprise surprise!!!!

The fact that these idiots cannot differentiate between racism, sexism, and criticism over Rice lying calls into question their mental stability (if they had any previously) as well as their capability of making rational, informed decisions that impact the nation. No one is picking on women and minorities, they are calling out Rice because she lied.

It was only a matter of time before these fools whined and showed their idiocy.

This is what we are stuck dealing with America. No wonder the future of the nation looks dismal.

For starters, McCain and Graham are going to regret making the statements they've made regarding Susan Rice. They have no evidence to indicate that she lied about anything. All indications are, that she relayed the information as it was given to her and nothing more.

McCain and Graham are a perfect example of "The Problem" facing american politics today. They are both incompetent cowards who choose to make false & inflammatory statements to the press instead of attending the intelligence hearings designed to disclose the facts surrounding the incident. Cowards because of the fact that they have chosen to attack the messenger, (namely Susan Rice) and make her the scapegoat for their lack of knowledge, when it is they who choose not to be properly informed.

Not to worry though. I would imagine that by the time the 2014 mid-term elections are over, these two hypocrites will be driven to extinction, like the dinosaurs they are.

In case you couldn't tell, I think I'll be siding with the House women on this one.

Is it considered lying when your stating what the information you have says?

Are politicians and diplomats meant to be psychics?

So, although I agree there is no racism/sexism here, there does seem to be some oddness as to why they are pushing the screws in her thumbs for simply saying what she was told...

The question here is, why was she given old and inaccurate information in the first place to give statements on.

Considering there is no racism or sexism at play here, your opinion is odd.

Where was the sexism? Where was the racism?

They called her out because she acted like a parrot in that she repeated whatever she was told without any regard to truth, fact, or intellect. Did she make any attempt to verify what she was saying was accurate? It doesnt appear so.

OMG... the race card again!?!? WTF!? Keep crying wolf guys - the more you play that card, the less effect it has.

The BIGGER question is whether or not Susan Rice had access to the REAL intel. Many believe she did and that she was involved in changing the talking points to reflect a different "Reality". That's why she's under such scrutiny - as well she should be. In fact, ANYONE - regardless of party affiliation - who had the potential to be in the know should be investigated!

Women!
*snort*

Can't live with 'em, can't trust them to state the truth on 5 different news shows following the deaths of 4 Americans by Al Quieda terrorists.

People died.
She lied.
Obama let it slide.

First, OMG Beez, what have they done to your poor avatar, this has gone beyond cruel

Back to OP

I firmly believe that if you are capable, intelligent and genuinely do a good job, then race, gender and what ever other physical characteristic will not matter.

In this case, the concerns are well justified. If you didn't know the person gender or race, I am sure these questions will still have been asked.

People need to learn to suck it up and deal with the consequences of their actions.

Anytime they throw out those labels racist, sexist or whatever means they don't want you to be talking about the issue at hand.

4 dead Americans and the only thing they want to talk about is racism and sexism.

Historically embassies had been attacked this is true by different means with a different objective.

Truck bombs via suicide bombing total maximum carnage.

a Full frontal assault with ak-47's and rpgs denote a different objective of taking ground, and holding if need be.

Given the fact there was a CIA station close, and reported detainees means the full frontal assault is the deal.

Either way it was not over a video, the current admin is lying, Rice was lying, and now they are throwing the race card, sexist card out there to stop people from talking about the real issue.

It really boils down to who gets the message out first. Rice made statements based upon faulty information rather than vetting them first.

After that error has occured, it is very easy to attack the individual as incompetent.

This is one of the reasons I advocate a smaller government, it streamlones the lines of communications between the agencies.

Well if Obama had been going to his briefings things might have been different wouldn't they? Am I now a racist for pointing out our black president has been neglecting his duties? For spitting out ignorance for the president she warrants the criticism. The deflection needs to stop and the potus needs to man up. He and his cronies fed the fire right from the get go using the video in the first place to cover up their ineptitude. If anyone ows Rice a apology it's Obama for making her lie. We have heard crap about how Powell was lied to by Bush and made to tell lies to the UN how is this any different?

This was an exact quote on CNN last night (forget which anchor said it)

Representative Peter King stated that former CIA Director David Petraeus stated that he knew the Benghazi attack was terrorism and that the talking points given to Ambassador Susan Rice were different from the ones prepared by the CIA. Petraeus stated Rice's talking points were edited to demphasized the possibility of terrorism.

You have to wonder why no one on the left thought it was racism if one criticized Condi Rice, or West or Powell.

That is nice and all, but there is no mention anywhere about her being criticized has to due with her race, or sex.

This is so dumb.

What she stated is/was a lie.
If she didn't know that, then she is a fool.
If she did, then she is a lying fool.

From the Whitehouse site:

Pay attention to around 1:19 time mark:

"The united states has been a nation that respects all faiths we reject the denigration of religious beliefs of other people".

video reference then he goes on to try to have it both ways.

www.whitehouse.gov...

Then:

AP) ISLAMABAD - Marked by the U.S. Embassy seal, advertisements condemning an anti-Islam video appeared on Pakistani television on Thursday in an apparent attempt to undercut anger against the United States, where the film was produced. Hundreds of youths, however, clashed with security officials as they tried in vain to reach the embassy in Islamabad amid anger in many countries over the film's vulgar depiction of the Prophet Muhammad.

Lying is an impeachable offense the Benghazi lies.
