Just wanted to share something I recently became aware of.
Google tracks and records every search you do ..when you are signed in to a google service such as gmail docs ect.
You have to go to settings in google accounts page and switch this option off.
Even if your firefox browser is showing private mode no history showing..your entire search history is in Google accounts if you are not aware.
And this is not made obvious to anyone.
They of course use your history to customise ads .
For those who do not disable history in Google accounts it makes clearing history in your browser incidental.

It's not like they are hiding anything.

www.google.com...

A little Googling turns up their privacy policy.
They use all that data to make your searches more relevant.

True..just thought it might not be known by everyone.
It may help those in China for example.
Not sure if relevant searches is such a good idea.
It boxes one in surely?

Well lets be honest. For recording everything we do online, you think they would have some type of message letting us know they do that.

Thanks OP for sharing some people don't know this. SnF

There have been a few threads discussing this already, but it is always good to inform new computer users about these kinds of things.
