Are you among those who are convinced of the evil of Wikipedia - with it's open framework where anyone can contribute?

Well this might belong in your scrap book as examples....

Paula Broadwell's Wikipedia Page May Have Contained Clue To Petraeus Affair -- Way Back In January

Everyone who is anyone gets to have a Wikipedia page right? That's how socialites and celebrities get to affirm their 'worth' to the media circus.... Paula was no exception....

As it turns out... an unknown Wikipedia contributor, behind a Cisco router firewall made an entry onto the now infamous Broadwell's Wikipedia page...

... within an hour of the page's creation, an anonymous Wiki editor wrote, "Petraeus is reportedly one of her many conquests."

Within an hour or so entry was removed by another editor as "libel/vandalism"..... whomever that editor was - ironically enough - actually was the one responsible for a falsehood.... as it proved true by Petraeus' own admission....

Interestingly, no one can determine who it was who made the factual statement which only saw the light of public exposure breifly.... therein lies another tale I suppose....
