Great work thor and new-here!

I wonder how long the tweets and other sources will be up before Israel shuts it all down.

Good question, and my thoughts too... great minds think alike, eh?

Edit: Yes, thor has added so much-- basically co-thread-manager, as far as I'm concerned.

Guys, looking at the RT Live link above. Are those fires burning at the horizon, or is that atmospheric what-not?

Harry's still down and RT Live has no sound. Is it supposed to?
I thought Harry was on air while ago, but they were streaming one of his previous updates.
Hope everything is ok. Well, obviously things aren't OK over there, but you know... safety to Harry and no media blackouts.

Edit to Add: Harry hasn't Tweeted in an hour. Here's hoping he's eating, sleeping, or doing something else we all get to do in the safety of our own homes.

You gotta love these Israelis

Every few months 500 new homes approved on bulldozed stolen land
Then few months later 800 new homes approved.

Out of Desperation Palestinians lob a missile or two to fight back.

And Israelis say AHA Look at the terrorists, lets wipe out a bunch of them.

I don't know who I hate more, Zionists in Israel or their apologists in the west.

From Palestinian Resistance Groups
Gosh-dan is now targeted by our missiles

Of interest from: www.telegraph.co.uk...

19.00 One of the remarkable things about this conflict is that a new kind of war has broken out between the two foes - a Twitter war. Alex Spillius, our Diplomatic Correspondent explains:

Within minutes of the strike that incinerated the vehicle Ahmed al-Jaabari, the Hamas militant wing leader, was travelling in, the IDF spokesman's office posted video of his car exploding on YouTube, which then quickly began circulating on Twitter.

It posted a red-tinted graphic of killed in an air strike, with the word "Eliminated" emblazoned in capital letters. It urged online users following the account to "retweet" the graphic.

Later in the day, the IDF, via its @IDFSpokesperson Twitter account, issued a transparent threat:

"We recommend that no Hamas operatives, whether low level or senior leaders, show their faces above ground in the days ahead."

The @AlqassamBrigade account of Hamas's military wing account quickly retorted: "@IDFSpokesperson Our blessed hands will reach your leaders and soldiers wherever they are (You Opened Hell Gates on Yourselves)."

Social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook have been used to galvanise political protest in the Middle East and elsewhere, but this is the first time either has been used for such blatantly belligerent purposes.

The IDF is everywhere online it seems, including Tumblr.

Thank you both for all of the updates. I stayed up really late last night and no info from Harry-- no Twitter, no FB, and of course no feed. I was really worried about him- I know that sounds silly but it felt like a friend was in trouble.

RT back up.

Harry Fear back up.

The resistance downed an F16 he just reported.

Thanks for helping man the fort!

Percussion bombs are being used in Gaza, just reported.
I assume these are the ones that cause the severe head injuries to even troops on the ground? Am I right, can anybody confirm?

Ask us how much we despise censorship...

Video that claims to be of a drone from #Israel shot down over #Gaza today t.co... about 18 hours ago from Splitweet

Listen up, people.

Copy and download pertinent information as it happens, because 'FACTS' have a way of changing/disappearing...

This aspect of this war certainly is unprecedented. And for us (at least me, personally) as well. There has been no other conflict in my lifetime where I have felt the average 'you' and 'me' of the world could seek out live updates from a variety of sources. Like you indicate, because they just weren't using Twitter/YouTube, etc... to the degree that we're seeing this time.

I tell ya, it makes it all too real to me.

According to Harry's sources: Palestinian Resistance Force is responding with much more force than anyone anticipated.

AND... would you believe in the time it took me to post the last message, that vid you posted has been "removed from YouTube because it violates conditions... blah blah blah..."

Yeah, censorship to the max.

ETA: Ok, that was your point, right? You posted a pic of the censorship message. Duh me.

Per Harry:

In the last one minute a Mosque and parts of a Refugee Camp have been hit.

I missed the name he just said, but some other country's leader is calling for regional support of Gaza. (Perhaps Egypt?) I just did not catch the name. I was typing.

470 strikes on Gaza have occurred since the beginning of this current situation. (Gaza is NOT that big of a place.)

Conflict between the two forces in the West Bank and in Jerusalem.
edit on 11/16/2012 by new_here because: (no reason given)

ETA: Thanks thorfourwinds, you caught the name... Hezbollah's Nazrallah is the one calling for regional support.
