I can admit that you are wrong in creating a thread with no content...as of right now November 15, 2012 - 6:42AM PST.

Yes

The whole thread was turning to personal attacks against the OP.

So much outrage over details about the case but people failed to see the bigger picture.

Im glad you posted this, but I doubt it will change the tune of this board.. its membership.. anytime soon. THIS sort of thing is why I left last time. Not the board of the owners or the mods.. it was the membership and behavior. The constant attacks on people for merely expressing their opinion has become ridiculous. The lashing out without considering the whole story and strangling the messenger is out of control. The conversations are once again dumbed down with responses impulsively puked out without even comprehending the OP or giving it thought. Gets tedious. People here and in RL are acting like angry mobs... they dont even know what they are angry over but lash out at any chance they get.

I too initially feel .. yeah, what an idiot.. shame her and maybe she will wake up! But then rationality takes over and with a little more thought I too see the slippery slope the OP was trying to expose.

Good for you OP.. one person at a time falling off of the mob idiocy wagon at a time I suppose Lord knows Ive had to apologize and eat crow more than once for being an ass here and in real life.. I am glad to see others dont fear being WRONG once in a while and take the steps to make someone whole that youve intentionally or unintentionally wronged. Let the OP of the other thread know.. might make a huge difference.

In an odd synchronous was you have also put a sign around your neck saying " I am wrong"... but self exposure concerning a wrong is a "sign" of maturity, reflection, introspection and being a NOT so Obnoxious chic.

Yes I agree, it's getting out of hand on some threads.
A few times I get the sense that even if someone agrees they won't post because the majority who already posted are on the opposing side. You quickly get an idea of where the thread is heading when insults start up.
A lot of people tend to make assumptions about others based on what they post or how they post it. It's kind of sad really. I saw a thread on people not reading the posts.... and that's true too. You can't argue your point if you don't bother to read others views. Also there is a way to express how passionately you feel about an issue without belittling others for their views, but it requires one to let go of their ego. (yes I saw that on another one too.)
Oh and my username was the one the I had back in the 90's on AOL. I used to be very snappy at people and I've evolved. But it is still funny to me because so many people think I'm going to be one way then come across different from what they thought originally. Of course I can be whatever I want to be.... and they can't say I didn't warn them when I turn ugly.

Yes I sent a link to OP as well.

See something funny.... I did this this morning.
I'm trying not to jump on "bandwagons" again but....
You just posted on that thread by Alyssa and had the same reaction as I did.
My initial reaction was "Women like you make me sick, they give the rest of us a bad name"
I didn't want to continue posting on it as I can feel a negative energy pull just from reading it.

I kind of want call myself a hypocrite but I won't.
