In a recent thread the OP got slammed really bad.
I get the argument now. I see the point he/she was making.
Regardless of the situation public humiliation violates the 8th amendment.
I reacted to the spectacle displayed by the media. I failed to see the crack it was creating, setting a precedent.
The OP was astounded by society's mob rule influence justifying this back slide.
I chimed in and I actually see the whole situation differently now.
If we allow people of power to "open this door a crack" what will be next? throwing veggies, shackles, or let's just jump to stoning.
I have the ability to let go of my ego and pride, to not have it color my views ... straight up legality to uphold the constitution that was the
argument.
I jumped off the bandwagon and admit now that I was wrong.
