A strong Israeli restraint is necessary now. All the military planners there will definitely know more than we do and do everything to prevent a full blown war with with another country. but then knowing how defiant Israel is...well...

According to this article, Hamas requested the talks because of the mild Egyptian response to Israeli aggression.

I would really want to know what they are talking about now. I would make a guess, that they are asking for more arms from Egypt and covert support and intelligence. And thats the most (in my opinion) Egypt would do ATM. Any more ideas?

Well, Hamas got quite a haul of weaponry and arms from Syria and Libya before those countries went in to war

Israel did uncover a plan for Hamas to start a conflict on the basis that Israel would be expected to respond harshly .World opinion would be against Israel . Then Hezbollah would join in and 2 to 3 days later Syria . This conflict could easily unite Syria .

I wonder if this is the plan unfolding before our eyes .

It is still not known if Hamas stopped the rocket attacks. I must apologize, should have been better to say both sides lied as the fighting still continues, even as the Egyptian PM is on the ground.
