On the supposed 'ceasefire breach' last night: a summary update

Reputable local news organisations and Palestinian journalists reported that an Israeli tank shell injured 4 in East Deir Al-Balah, Middle Gaza Strip at 10pm (local). I reported this and further details from these sources, including the nature of the sustained injuries.

During the night two international journalists brought doubt upon the notion of it having been a tank shelling, suggesting that it could have been a fuel tank explosion. I can confirm that this incident was definitely not a benzine tank explosion or similar.

We have investigated, spoken to injured persons, as well as witnesses and residents. The incident was either a fresh attack (further ceasefire breach) or an incident from Operation Pillar of Cloud:

* Fresh attack by tank shell (initially reported universally in Gaza)
* Explosion of previously-unexploded bomb from Pillar of Cloud
* Fresh attack by drone strike
* Fresh attack by new military aircraft like F15

Photo: the site of the incident, with a destroyed subterranean water solid-state tank in a residential farming area, hundreds of metres from the border with Israel.

Our investigation of the scene and our interviewing of the witnesses constituted the only on-the-ground journalistic enquiry into what happened.

Hmm, just saw this on twitter, haven't read the article yet:

it would represent an almost
fatal blow to securing a two-

For first time, #Britain ,
#France may recall
ambassadors in protest at
#Israel ’s illegal settlement
construction. #Palestine

We'll see if that happens. In related news, the morning after the UN vote, Canada's Foreign Minister said he would be temporarily recalling our diplomats from Israel and the West Bank in response.

That two state solution was all but lost when the Palestinians went to the UN.

New settlements are the Israeli response.

"Israeli bulldozers assault West
Bank villages"

Israel on Tuesday destroyed a mosque
in the south Hebron hills, bulldozed a
two-story home in East Jerusalem,
demolished agricultural infrastructure
southeast of Nablus, and settlers
uprooted and stole about 200 olive
trees in a village west of Bethlehem,
witnesses said.
Witnesses told Ma’an news agency
that the army prevented residents
from collecting books and other items
from the al-Mafqara mosque, east of
the town of Yatta, before razing it for
the second time since 2011.

That two state solution was all but lost when the Palestinians went to the UN.

If it wasn't lost already, it should be lost now that the top Hamas leader (Mashaal) visited Gaza over the weekend stating that he wanted to be martyred while he was there and said that Hamas would never give any concessions to Israel over a Palestinian state and that ALL of the land belonged to them. Add to that his statements about taking over the land would only be done through resistance and not negotiations and you have the perfect reason for not allowing Hamas to be involved in ANY government set up by the Palestinians.

Abbas looked like a total fool the other day by calling for truce with Hamas in order to get back to their "unified government". What a fool! Mashaal made Abbas look like an a$$ yesterday.

So, if there are any fake reports of a ceasefire this weekend, you can best bet that these crazy extremists made them up or they're trying to fulfill Mashaal's dying wish.

Palestine: Two Palestinians injured by Israeli army fire in Gaza

Palestinian medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that two Palestinians were shot and injured, on Friday evening, by Israeli military fire close to the Israeli “security fence” east of Khan Younis, and Jabalia, in the coastal region. Eyewitnesses said that a 19-year-old youth was shot in the foot, east of Jabalia in northern Gaza, when Israeli soldiers, based across the border, opened fire at farmers working in the lands close to the border.

It seems there are still lot's of assaults are going on

Violence against Gaza Fishermen

Israeli gunboats continue to harass and fire at Palestinian fishermen, despite the ceasefire which brought an end to Israel's offensive against the Gaza Strip last month. In the latest incident off the Gaza coast on Monday, an Israeli vessel fired at a fishing boat, injuring the fisherman and detaining his son. The wounded man was named as Mas'ad Bakr, aged 36; he was taken to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon where his injuries are said to be "moderate".

I wonder why they don't mention the 32948230 incidents when Israel broke the truce and even killed a few people.

Just to get this thread up to date, when i opened the site of a newspaper here in belgium I found this article,
Its in dutch, but it's a realible newspaper none the less, abit for joe average none the less a credible source.
Eerste raket op Israël sinds wapenstilstand in november
Translation "First misile to hit Israel since the ceasefire in november.

Een raket afgevuurd vanuit de Gazastrook is ingeslagen in het zuiden van Israël. Er vielen geen gewonden, maar het gaat om de eerste aanval sinds een wapenstilstand een einde maakte aan de gevechten in november, aldus het leger.

Translation " A misile was fired from the Gazastrip and hit the south of Israel, There where no casualties but it was the first hit since the ceasefire made in November."

Albeit that's not really true when you take in account the provocation from Israel -> the settlements, the drilling.
I doubd anything will come of this, after the whole conflict last november I cam to realize its all a scam,

Anywho its an update.

New update from RT

Mortar shell hits Golan Heights – Israel
A stray mortar shell struck the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights on Wednesday, the Israeli army said. “We found a shell in the central Golan Heights,” AFP quoted a military spokesperson as saying. Troops earlier saw smoke rising near an Israeli town in the central sector of the strategic plateau, which borders war-torn Syria. It was the first time in nearly three months that a shell had hit the Israeli side of the Golan. No injuries or damage were reported.
