I don't know either. I do know that on Reuters I can hear drones and impacts, so I guess the air "invasion" is still on despite the conference...

Yeah, the M577 is the C2 version of the M113. It looks like a standard M113 with an armored camper on top. It's not canvas topped like the M548. I doubt they use the M548 in a C2 role. No idea what the Zelda looks like. Sounds like another mod of the standard (enclosed, not open-topped) M113. I'll have to look it up. Good find.

It does get around. Last I saw it was horribly damaged in an earthquake.

Security Guard Attacked at US Embassy, Tel Aviv

A security guard was slightly injured on Tuesday morning at the US Embassy in Tel Aviv when he was attacked by a man wielding an ax. According to police, the guard fired warning shots. The assailant, a 41-year-old man from Bat Yam, was apprehended by police. It is not clear if the attack was motivated by anti-Israel or anti-US sentiment. Television footage from the scene showed two ambulances leaving the heavily guarded embassy, which is in the heart of Tel Aviv near the city’s beach. The attack came just after US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced that she will arrive in Israel on Tuesday evening to work toward bringing an end to the violence in Gaza. It’s unclear whether the incident was linked to Operation Pillar of Defense in Gaza.
