So Israel has declared a truce? Without Hamas' input ?
I guess we wait to see if it holds.

A truce is declared by both sides. There are negotiations going in several places, one of them being in Cairo.

Israel made demands that Hamas doesn't agree with. And provably Israel doesn't agree with the demands of Israel.

But that's obvious, otherwise there would be peace by now...

According to the live feed on Haaretz.com, the media building was targeted and killed Islamic Jihad leader Ramez Harb:

16:47 P.M. Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad says an Israeli strike on a Gaza media center has killed one of its top militant leaders. It's the second strike on the building in two days. The Hamas TV station, Al Aqsa, is located on the top floor.

Islamic Jihad has sent a text message to reporters saying that Ramez Harb was killed in the strike Monday. Harb is a leading figure in their militant wing, the Al Quds Brigades.

Also more news on the proposed ceasefire:

16:33 P.M. Egyptian Prime Minister Hesham Qandil says a cease-fire agreement may be signed soon between Israel and Hamas. "The negotiations continue, and I hope that soon we will reach something that will put a stop to the mutual violence. I think we are close, but this kind of negotiations is very difficult, and it is hard to make predictions. President Morsi is committed to fulfill his role as a major player in the area and help with the resolution." (Reuters)

Just watching Al jazerra newshour and the guy at the desk is slamming some israeli minister i believe over the buildings holding world press. Saying it is unacceptable. Good way to get the media against you, with two strikes in two days.

The RT stream has been having sound issues for me since yesterday. I've been watching RT, but listening to OccupiedAir.

Actually I'm quite impressed how many people have been able to keep it strictly news.

Lets hope these peace can negotiate something more then just a ceasefire.

I am hearing unconfirmed reports that the ground offensive may be starting, with tanks and armored trucks. Looking for confirmation online.

There sure is a lot of blackness on the RT feed, looks like one branch down the middle has power. I wonder if they may be knocking out power prior to going in on the ground.

"Palestinian protester against Gaza attacks dies from Israeli fire"

www.alternativenews.org...

I think we can expect to see the protests escalate to fighting in the West Bank, especially if there is a ground invasion. I haven't seen much on what is happening in the West Bank, will look.
