Saw a few shoot into Israel a few hours ago. there has been intense bombings all night. Lots of drones.

It's on the Reuters feed. You can hear what sounds like trucks going by, but in the background you can hear fighters launching and going overhead. Sounded like a pretty good sized group of them. Probably 8-10 or more.

OK I have the feed up, I guess I have too much background noise to hear the fighters, do hear the traffic though.

It helps that I'm programmed to hear aircraft. My other half thinks it's funny as hell. They're very hard to hear, but when the traffic noise dies down you can hear the afterburners in the background.

I'm sorry, it's inappropriate to laugh at such a time, but that precondition is laughable. Hamas will only use the removal of the blockade to bolster their armory. Why on earth would Israel ever agree to that?

So it's not difficult to predict Israel's response. Though, let me make one comment. What a clever tactic! I mistook Hamas for being careless - which they of course are in regard to human life - but starting an issue with Israel and then 'begging' for a cease-fire, as CNN has on their front page, certainly creates the perception that Israel is just mindlessly hammering away at enemy that wants to 'put up the white flag'.

Unfortunately, the removal of the blockade essentially amounts to a TEMPORARY cease-fire until Hamas is more adequately equipped to take on the IAF.

And what is the difference in the Israeli attitude that there will be peace when Hamas is no more? Hamas is a democratically elected governing body, and their defacto regular army. If they were eliminated, Israel could just buldoze gaza without regard to anything.

So their request is just as ridicilous, imo.

I'm somewhat of an aviation nut myself, well not as much as I was, but I try to keep up.

On topic, the F-15I's, I thought, were more an air superiority fighter, but I know they have a lot of hard points to carry bombs, and can loiter longer than the F-16 to attack targets as they present themselves.

I knew the F-16's are used for surgical strikes.

I've switched to the RT feed, but I'm positive I heard tracks a minute ago on Reuters.

Reuters totally missed that big one. RT feed
