Leo Tolstoy - WIKI

Love your enemies as seen through the eyes of a Russian Ascetic. Buddha said, "Hate cannot dispel hate. Only love dispels hate." Taking the name of the Lord in vain is taking the name but not the character. This is essentially what he says by context of his day and age. Our own day and age comes alive with these words.

A word to define that is used in this video in relation to hatred dispelling hatred:

Chimerical [kaɪˈmɛrɪkəl kɪ-], chimeric adj

1. wildly fanciful; imaginary
2. given to or indulging in fantasies

Quote from the video: "It was thus with God, "Do not resist evil." Fire cannot extinguish fire, no more than evil can extirpate evil. Good, meeting with evil and remaining untainted by it, can alone conquer evil."

Good insight - how do you defend yourself against a thing without becoming that thing - you be that thing without becoming that see through its eyes with your eyes.
That is, you do not lose yourself in resisting the 'thing', but overcome it by understanding its origins...and when one 'knows oneself' and their actions are on the axis of LOVE, they will know too that their origins are far stronger!!
