I became a Christian as a result of listening to a radio program called Back to the Bible. They produce daily Bible studies that are broadcast both on radio and on the internet. You can hear these studies here:

www.backtothebible.org...

Here are the topics they are covering this week:

It often happens gradually--the slow drift away from God's plan for our lives. Special guest, author and speaker Jeffrey Dean, looks at the spiritual state of our country, our youth, our homes and our churches and shares thoughts on how to reclaim our lives for God.

Monday, November 12 Reclaiming Our Country for God
Tuesday, November 13 Reclaiming Our Youth for God
Wednesday, November 14 Reclaiming Our Homes for God
Thursday, November 15 Reclaiming Our Church for God
Friday, November 16 Reclaiming Our Lives for God

I don't think we're going to reclaim anything, because we're living in times prophecied. Times that are spiraling out of our control to herald the end of the end. The beginning of the end began 2000 years ago, and now we're in the end of the 6th day of Man's labor.

Slightly off topic. Have you ever watched the show Ancient Aliens? Theorists and researchers are now using the Bible as historical reference for places, names and historical events. I find it interesting that after years of debunking the Bible, it is now being used seriously as a reference for ancient findings...whether you believe in it or not, it does make an interesting read.

OP you may like a book that I have recently read. "The Lost Books of the Bible" by William Hone. It's a fascinating read.

No matter how much people want to disbelieve, aliens, the bible and god are all connected. In all the space and with all information out there that we don't even have access, there is no way we are the only planet with life. To deny other life forms is just ignorance at this point.

This would mean, anything that is foreign to any of these other planetary life forms would be considered "alien," to that planet. Just as it is here, anything from space is basically "alien," to our planet.

Here the word "Alien," means
a : belonging or relating to another person, place, or thing : strange
b : relating, belonging, or owing allegiance to another country or government : foreign
c : exotic
d : differing in nature or character typically to the point of incompatibility

Humanly speaking, we would then be alien to other planets.

The bible also has scriptures pertaining to aliens or beings from the sky.

Everything is connected, nothing is really that hard to believe anymore.

I was once a Christian and have completely freed myself from all the restrictions religions can put on a person. Some people need that structure, I grew out of it. My relationship with God is much larger than any religion and I don't need any one of them to have what I do.

Oh yeah, I was just thinking, what would make an ancient alien different from an alien now? Our concept of time is our best way of understanding how to organize life, when in space time is different and according to some, does not even exist. We can't even fathom the way it actually is, so we really have no idea. We have thoughts about it but we don't actually know. Actually, those who have had out of body experiences or have had death experiences have tried to explain just how "time," works outside of this life and none of them really have a good explanation. It's not something that is easy to understand in the terms that we have in communication as humans. Usually it is difficult for these people to even find words to describe their experience.

Thank you so much! People on here that actual agree with my beliefs, there is no denying it. I don't force it on people (like some "mainstream" Christians), but I do love reading and talking about it with people who want to know the truth.

May God bless & keep you.

As a Christian, how do you feel about God setting things up in such a way that he knew man would fail and what failure would bring? How do you deal with this question?

First, I would like to state, I am a PK, have highly considered going to become a Pastor.

This is what I have learned since I started going "what the # in my families eyes."
1) The bible has been used to keep people in constant fear
2) The bible is mind control (most religious books as well)
3) What the # is wrong with people.

1) Being in constant fear throughout its time since it was written. If you don't say enough Hail Mary's you're #ed. If you don't believe that God is the all powerful, all knowing, all seeing, Than he's not there, and you'll go to hell. If you're seeing and hearing things, than you're hearing the devil, or touched in the head by a demon, (Believe me, they can do some scary #). If you don't believe in Jesus, don't give to the church you're going to the lake of fire. If you don't behave you're going to be thrown in to the lake of fire for the rest of time.

Here we see some of the common problems that christian's have faced since the Bible was written. Most are true, like don't # with Demons if you can help it, coming from experience. But people of yesteryears didn't know that you could talk to your "father" without talking to some head person at a church. Its a common misconception. We can talk to him by ourselves, but talking back will come in a different from than we are use to.

2) I guess I kinda explained in it 1. I will say this though, its just like the real world, with its politics, if you are going to one place to get your food, news, weather, entertainment, etc. "you're going to have a bad time." I will say this, I have come back from the "nutjob" side of the bible world, discrediting it thinking God is an Alien, etc. I do believe that we are not alone here. .... Sorry side note. ..... I go to many different churches, and read from many different versions of the bible, I have even read some books of other religions. DO NOT limit yourself to one day a week, one hour, with time to be with him. He is all around, More like "she"

1) The bible has been used to keep people in constant fear

I used to be afraid of things that could happen to me during this life and what my fate would be after I died. As a result of studying the Bible I learned that Jesus died for my sins and I could be forgiven if I put my faith in him. I also learned that God is in control of all that happens to me while I am still alive and nothing bad will happen to me unless God is using it to bring about good. As a result my life is now free of fear.

2) The bible is mind control (most religious books as well)

Everyone is subject to some kind of mind control. I would prefer that my mind be controlled by God than by some evil influence.

3) What the # is wrong with people.

We have all sinned and as a result we are separated from God. The Bible reveals how we can have our sins forgiven and be brought into fellowship with God.

Here are subjects that will be covered next week:
