I was jesting@@ do it have to be so serious all the time. I thought that was quite a good one.

I was not lying or being offensive just stating the obvious truth hehe.

On topic, gen 1.

1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. 3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.

Popul vuh..

There was neither man, nor animal, birds, fishes, crabs, trees, stones, caves, ravines, grasses, nor forests; there was only the sky. The surface of the earth had not appeared. There was only the calm sea and the great expanse of the sky. There was nothing brought together, nothing which could make a noise, nor anything which might move, or tremble, or could make noise in the sky. There was nothing standing; only the calm water, the placid sea, alone and tranquil. Nothing existed. There was only immobility and silence in the darkness, in the night. Only the creator, the Maker, Tepeu, Gucumatz, the Forefathers, were in the water surrounded with light. [...] Then Tepeu and Gucumatz came together; then they conferred about life and light, what they would do so that there would be light and dawn

In both of these verses the earth has not yet been created. This is where god created light and dark. The two fundemantles for all creation. After that comes everything in between. A common misconception is that darkness is nothing. Yes, speculation.

Gen.1

9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Popul vuh.

Let the water recede and make a void, let the earth appear and become solid; let it be done. Thus they spoke. Let there be light, let there be dawn in the sky and on the earth

Water is mentioned before this part, but I believe this is where the earth is created

Water must then have other metaphoricle meanings. Understanding these little meanings and the different context they are used in opens up verses to mean things multi dimensionally, with accuracy. I've given you a clue, their is a veil in place that's stops people seeing it. Linear pattern programming via education gives us that tunnel vision one dimensional mindset, we are multidimensional beings.
It can't be taught, you have to look at things in a different light/different angle... MULTIDIMENSIONAL.

I was excited until I went to the website. Just trying to sell stuff, too bad really. Have to agree with some of the other posters. Doubt they know any more than our scholars. Most of their history was burned with their leaders.

Who is mocking us? A silver spoon is not part of the human creation.

Illuminati, "Dark Cabal" or whatever you want to call the people who have the real power and control on this world, and know the real truth of things and won't share the knowledge.

What knowledge are you seeking that is not shared or Out there somewhere for you to find? I'm not saying I have the knowledge I only have beleifs. When it comes down to belief only you can choose what is knowledge. Much knowledge is out there and lots of the old stuff was written metaphorically or as I like to say multi dimensionally. Much knowledge is hidden here, if you can look past the literal.
The real truth of things cannot be given to the individual, it has to be sought out and realised. The veil is in your mind. Not outside being hung up by a group hiding the knowledge. We are distracted from this knowledge by these "cabals" and give them the power to control us by consenting to it. Saying nothing about it when more control is imposed is giving consent

Not what I meant. Humanity's progress has been held back by greed and selfish desire for control, by the powerful few. I find the world to be unacceptable as it is. There is nothing I can do, personally, to change it. It would require everyone banning together. But... good luck getting even a dozen people in the same room to agree on something. This world is f***ed. It always has been. There are no dreams to realize here. Only nightmares.

Well they got you then didn't they?

Drop them out, it's not your fault, I've found you can't even tell people to try to enlighten them to the way things are, it back fires on you, and you sound all crazy. so the best you can do is be. Don't be mr uncreative
and don't be a thread killer

How were all priests killed off if any population lived through the "Spanish Conquest"?

Some questions simply make no sense. This is a good example of a question that makes no sense.

USING YOUR LOGIC, which is all I see in your posting history, The German Leader of the Socialist Nationalist Party didn't kill all the Rabbi's of the Jewish Faith.
Neither did the Conquistador's kill all the Mayan Priests.

Another failed question.

I have not claimed that all priests were killed. The problem is that you and no one else equated killing off the priesthood to killing all people.

exactly right, you tailgated my post to another poster

It is possible to kill off the majority of the elite, the rulers, the leaders, and that has happened many times in history. The conquistadors were not trying to destroy the local population. They were removing the leadership. They were replacing the existing culture with their own.

are you sure you are correct, and more sure about history?
since I point out later that you go off topic a bit I will as well....Lets examine the ALCIADA has been pin pointed and surgically eliminated by the OBAMA administration. See what I mean. How could they only kill off the priests. Traditions cannot be surgically removed. Culture is passed on through generations. Thats religion buddy, like it or not.

Let's face it you were completely and utterly wrong to suggest that elimination of the leadership and culture meant killing off the population.

Is it really a contest of who is right and who is wrong? or are we all speculating, which is really my whole point..
Who among us was there?

Regardless of this, the fact is that there is very little information left from those times due to the actions of the invaders. What is left has been worked out by archaeologists over a long time. It has been a demanding job.

now you are seeing my point all along....so I will say now, "You don't say!"

There are plenty of people using their heritage to sucker people into sending them money. I say bully to those con artists. Go for it and empty the wallets of the foolish.

didnt see the Capitalist Zionist argument in the OP......off topic?
is anybody here selling you a book or asking you to buy BUG OUT gear?
opinions and anal orifices .....everybody has them, "know what I mean, Vern!"

Congrats on that! Make it happen AGAIN and Again and again...
But please DON'T take my word for it...

>and (he) even delves into a conspiracey involving CERN and murcury energy saving light bulbs...

I'd buy into all of this "BS" if you can explain to me what...

>murcury

might be? I'm VERRRY curious about THIS part.

Maybe you should take a bath with him in the...

>energy from the galactic centre, causing a raise in conciousness, and the three days of darkness is three aclipses during the three days of soltice.

Remember than:
It should only last...

>for (only
) 8mins.. ...(and you and) the earth (I assume) will be bathed in energy... ,... causing a raise in conciousness (if that's it what they call it now... )

So you should be great... and fine... and kuhl...!
Just ENDURE and keep recalling that this had...

>an interesting perspective.

Once.

I noticed you only referenced the first creation myth in genesis.

I see these myths as very different. In one there is a god who uses incantations, "let there be ...", to create the world. In the other we have many gods who form consensus to do something. In one man is made once. In the other man is made multiple times.

The Popul Vuh was written down after the conquest of the area by priests. It is generally held that this version of the Popul Vuh is heavily influenced by Catholicism. The wording and structure of the narrative are heavily influenced by the bible.

I see the tales as being different just as the 2 creation myths in genesis are distinct. In one of those man and woman are made at the same time. In the other man is made and then woman is made at a later time.

Thanks for your point of view. Enjoyed reading it.

Could the Mayans have saw the planet as a being? Could this be the man made of mud and amber, crust and magma? if you can't see the similarities that's fine. I think they are similar. I could go on into gen 2 but if you can't see the similarities untill now there would be no point.

Which one says the woman was made at the same time? I thought in both the woman was made as man slept?

There are two contradictory creation stories in Genesis.

Bravo Mayan hippy dude! You would have been selling Mayan pouch bags in a small village or herding lamas. Thanks to gullible westerners, you are now making a profit. Good for you! It is always a good thing to help spread micro-economics. Especially if you have a hot translator!

Would you please elaborate so I can understand this contradiction, I don't see it?

Well, in one the order is from light, celestial objects, crawling creatures and tress, animals and then humanity. In the second, it is the other way around. God forgot to create someone for Adam so he creates everything until finally he creates a woman from his rib.

In one, god created man in his image, what is the image of god? Spirit. Spirit has no gender, later, in two, god put man on the earth and spilt I'm to make a mate/meet.....hence soulmates. I'm not going to explain the whole thing, look deeper.

posted on Nov, 20 2012 @ 03:48 PM

No need to look deeper. One is a priestly account while the other sounds more like a folk tradition. Were the animals in the priestly account not on Earth? The second is not a soul-mate story, that is an anachronism. It was made to explain how women were created and how death came into the world. Just like the Cain and Abel story deals with the dichotomy of nomads and farmers as well as the "first" murder. Now if you cannot see the contradictions between the two accounts there is nothing I can say.
