In both of these verses the earth has not yet been created. This is where god created light and dark. The two fundemantles for all creation. After that comes everything in between. A common misconception is that darkness is nothing. Yes, speculation.

Gen.1

9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so. 10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.

Water is mentioned before this part, but I believe this is where the earth is created
Water must then have other metaphoricle meanings. Understanding these little meanings and the different context they are used in opens up verses to mean things multi dimensionally, with accuracy. I've given you a clue, their is a veil in place that's stops people seeing it. Linear pattern programming via education gives us that tunnel vision one dimensional mindset, we are multidimensional beings. It can't be taught, you have to look at things in a different light/different angle... MULTIDIMENSIONAL.

I was excited until I went to the website. Just trying to sell stuff, too bad really. Have to agree with some of the other posters. Doubt they know any more than our scholars. Most of their history was burned with their leaders.

This world is f***ed. It always has been. There are no dreams to realize here. Only nightmares.

It is possible to kill off the majority of the elite, the rulers, the leaders, and that has happened many times in history. The conquistadors were not trying to destroy the local population. They were removing the leadership. They were replacing the existing culture with their own.

I noticed you only referenced the first creation myth in genesis.

I see these myths as very different. In one there is a god who uses incantations, "let there be ...", to create the world. In the other we have many gods who form consensus to do something. In one man is made once. In the other man is made multiple times.

The Popul Vuh was written down after the conquest of the area by priests. It is generally held that this version of the Popul Vuh is heavily influenced by Catholicism. The wording and structure of the narrative are heavily influenced by the bible.

I see the tales as being different just as the 2 creation myths in genesis are distinct. In one of those man and woman are made at the same time. In the other man is made and then woman is made at a later time.

Could the Mayans have saw the planet as a being? Could this be the man made of mud and amber, crust and magma? if you can't see the similarities that's fine. I think they are similar. I could go on into gen 2 but if you can't see the similarities untill now there would be no point.

Well, in one the order is from light, celestial objects, crawling creatures and tress, animals and then humanity. In the second, it is the other way around. God forgot to create someone for Adam so he creates everything until finally he creates a woman from his rib.

In one, god created man in his image, what is the image of god? Spirit. Spirit has no gender, later, in two, god put man on the earth and spilt I'm to make a mate/meet.....hence soulmates. I'm not going to explain the whole thing, look deeper.

No need to look deeper. One is a priestly account while the other sounds more like a folk tradition. Were the animals in the priestly account not on Earth? The second is not a soul-mate story, that is an anachronism. It was made to explain how women were created and how death came into the world. Just like the Cain and Abel story deals with the dichotomy of nomads and farmers as well as the "first" murder. Now if you cannot see the contradictions between the two accounts there is nothing I can say.
