Dear ATS,

This is a tale of a marriage gone south. My heart is not breaking, but I know one that is. Quad has found a new home. He no longer needs any assistance with his prior situation (The Monster I Have Created). If you are confused please see: www.abovetopsecret.com...

Owed to Quadrivium

After many years of marriage,

you might ask how could one betray their spouse?

How he shoved me under the bus,

on this site called ATS.

His poem should have been about his love for me,

but instead all I got was jealousy.

Jealousy about my stars, flags and threads,

now has changed this marriage.

Ask Quad how he likes his new place,

cause the look on the dog’s face is total disgrace.

Could that be from Quad,

taking over his place?

Now I keep hearing this weird noise,

I’m quite certain it must be the boy’s toys.

Nope, it’s not the toys,

It’s Quad howling and making all this noise.

You may ask,

Do I worry about his howling noise?

I must say since it is only ATS that he truly misses,

I would have to say NO!

Our boy’s have to confess,

daddy has gotten himself in a mess.

I had to go back and read your husbands thread before I got a real picture of what was going on. I have to say he is talented for concocting that little piece of poetry. I enjoyed your response here as well.

You two. You should know by now that it isn`t about the Stars to Flags total. Or even star, to post count, ratio. It is about the Applause.

I know this for a fact since I have 4 applause and my husband has none. It makes his overwhelming star to post ratio much easier to deal with.

He started it. I just owed him one back.

That is to funny. They are so sensitive.

He was talking about stars and flags on threads in regular forums, not short stories. I had just started on here and in a couple hours I was getting a lot of flags and stars.

Even though I know its all for fun, after my husband wrote a thread, the next morning when he was at work he kept texting me all day asking me what the flag/star count was.

And then, one day, I took a screenshot of my own thread trending in the number one spot one Most Replies/Recently Flagged. Left it for him to see on the desktop. But, honestly, having a life partner that can enjoy something like ATS when I enjoy ATS is the best gift I could ever have.

We enjoy it, he just wasn't use to me being on here. Let just say it was an adjustment for him.

Honestly, we love each and at the end of the day that is all that truly matters.
