That is kind of what I was trying to convey in my message.

There are a lot of part tine crappy paying jobs, but a person cannot sustain themselves on that kind of wage.

We need more good paying jobs.

The problem is that companies, like hostess, think that everyone should work for free, or a lower than standard pay scale.

People want to blame the unions. But everyone will wonder what in the hell happened when we let big business run the unions out.

We will be even worse off because they want to pay $5.00 an hour and think we should be happy.

We really are in a bad position and big business's greed is making it worse.

The biggest issue is the surplus of bodies to do the work. The companies know they can pay a pittance because so many people are clamouring for any job they can get, because the economy isn't adjusting to automation and streamlined production. Unskilled manufacturing labour is on the way out, big-time.

It's not about people making it or not, it's about taking responsibility for yourself. If there was truly a free market, you wouldn't even need jobs, because everyone would be able to start their own business. Remember a little phrase called mom and pop shops?

It takes Capitol to start a business. Property just can pull a wad of dough from nowhere and purchase goods to start up their own business.....

When people are living paycheck to paycheck and trying to figure out what bill they are not going to pay, starting up a business is the last thing they are thinking.g about.

Unions used to be needed but now we have labor boards in every state. Unions make prices for goods higher than competition in other countries. Welfare is out of control due to abuse. The abuse of the system actually hurts the poor because they receive less due to said abuse. The help they need should be through the community they live in, not big government. The community can pinpoint what they need to get on their feet and thrive. Big government just cuts checks with no real knowledge of their situation.
If government really wanted to create jobs and clean up the air at the same time they would build the infrastructure for natural gas powered vehicles. They pollute far less and require less repairs/maintenance. Apparently they don't care if it is a viable solution to both problems. We are headed for Socialism is the reason. Control is why they want everyone but politicians and Hollywood to be poor. Politicians in control with Hollywood as their mouthpiece.

I have to visit an old thread of mine and say that thanks to our incompitant leaders(and that term is used very loosely), that soon there is not going to be enough jobs to sustain the whole house of cards.

Obamacare will be the fan that blew it over.

Stagnated, declining economy is a disaster in the making folks.

Switzerland has a national referendum that will require a guaranteed minimum of $2800 per month. Works out to about $17/hr. Here is a country that is not in fiscal trouble that also insists on taking care of it's citizens. Why can't we get the same thing in America?

To be conpletely honest, I dont know the details of minimums and hourly projections.

All I know is that companies are laying people off in droves.

Being forced to buy a companies product is just completely insane.

I just got a message from a friend of mine.

He works for the same company that I do.

He has been layed off for 4 weeks now. Another guy at our jobsite judt got layed off friday.

There is approximately 1/4 of the workers layed off at the union hall.

The old timers have said they have never seen it so bad.

Were in trouble. We do sheetmetal, hvac, roofing, siding and such work.

No jobs neans more government benefits doled out
