This isn't the first from TN that reported this type of sighting...I believe several pages ago a group out hunting or camping from TN said they saw the similar...as well as a person in South Carolina on the same night and also someone in England

I didn't see this posted yet, but I may have missed it in the 96 pages.

Another home has exploded in Indiana, this time in Albion, Indiana.

Explosion Destroys Rural NE Indiana Home

Thought I would throw that in there.

Also thought I would mention that the last few days there have been several explosions in the New Madrid Zone.

Explosion at Cherokee Nitrogen Plant Colbert County Alabama

Another Explosion at Camp Minden

Explosion at Knox County Kentucky Sawmill

Add to that the Home explosions and Restuarant in Indiana, they are adding up.

It might be just a case of taking more note of explosions since this incident, but I never noticed so many in just a few days before.

Could these have anything to do with crustal movement and gases releasing from the earth? I really have no idea.

This is definitely strange. Earlier in the thread I mentioned that Indiana has swamps and has many old, dried up swamp beds. Combined with the underground aquifers, and the New Madrid, who knows what kind of gases might escape?

Nice work, that certainly seems to indicate a direction to the blast.

I wouldn't be too sure.

Houses are built using a lot of very light crap nowadays. Vinyl siding, fiberglass and styrofoam can be diverted from falling straight down by a fairly light breeze.

Judging by the severity of the blast, I would guess most of the debris was launched outward due to the blast itself. We're going off of the concentration of debris, which tends in that direction. As mentioned, it may have been pushed there by fire hoses, it's hard to know, but, regarding the falling object/meteor theory, this would indicate a trajectory.

I live in E. TN. My supervisor at work said she was outside that night and saw something HUGE falling from the sky. She didn't know about this explosion at that time. She said it was bigger than any meteor "shooting star" she had ever seen!
Not saying that what caused this, but there was at least one witness to a meteor falling at that time.

This is now several witnesses in that general area that claim to have seen a large object falling from the sky around the time of the incident. Combined with what seems to have been an increase in meteor impacts/sightings in the last few months, I'd say its still plausible, and would explain the strength of the blast.

was it a hypersonic plane hitting the ground?

could that have broken the gas lines (impact?)

There have been a few reports of things falling from the sky on the same day, but
as previous in the post, none of them really lined up to where they could have
been on the path to impact here.

Huge huh? Wonder if that russian equipment made it back to earth, or its
possible there is more coming in, since we are flying through a rough
patch space wise.

But if it was that huge i am surprised its not covered by others, unless
the dear govt is just keeping it quiet because more is expected.

I think Dec. 21, 2012 is going to be fairly normal. However, I did experience a couple of strange coincidental premonitions involving some type of event occurring roughly 400 miles off the coast of the north eastern seaboard of the U.S. with an energy equivalent to a 10.5 magnitude earthquake.

This would be roughly 50.0 x 10^19 Joules, which is several times larger than the largest nuclear bomb available today, which would indicate something like an oceanic meteor impact or air burst.

That's my negative 2012 scenario, that I truly hope does not happen.

There would most likely be debris from the plane such as metals and other plane parts, along with a significant impact crater.

Hey, I heard there was another explosion? Some resturant this time. I wasent sure, I did some brief checking and couldnt find anything. Maybe my friends where pulling my chain.

no chain pulling ... you can read about the same restaurant exploding TWICE in Indiana (not far from this location)

www.wishtv.com...
El Rodeo restaurant in Greenfield is a total loss after a fire swept through the building Monday evening.

High reaching flames, pitch black smoke, and an explosion:nearby business owners had a hard time believing what was happening to the El Rodeo Restaurant in Greenfield.
- snip -
About two weeks ago, firefighters were called to the same restaurant for a small fire involving a water heater.
- snip -
It's a huge loss, but nearby business owners are counting their blessings. Just feet from the restaurant sits a gas station which could have meant disaster if the fire spread.

then there is this that many seem to have missed ...

www.wishtv.com...
They were rescued by neighbors who lived a block away.
- snip -
The McDonalds live close to the elementary school where folks were gathered that night. but instead of running to safety, they ran in the opposite direction: toward the explosion, to help neighbors they didn’t even know.
- snip -
They went inside the home, finding a family of four: two daughters, one with a head injury.
- snip -
“At the same time we were pulling two by fours up, my nephew started screaming, ‘The house was on fire.’ I looked up, and you could see the flames above us,”

after reading the above in full ... would someone please explain how an explosion (furnace likely in basement) and fire (supposedly caused by a gas leak) that don't occur simultaneously can be portrayed as cause and effect ??

I honestly give up trying to understand what happened. My brain is tied in knots.

Everyone around here is frustrated and starting to expect a cover up.

(On facebook when news stations post more and more contradicting stories, people have been calling them out not only on the contradictions, but potential cover up.)

If the government and officials don't want the public to know something, we will never know.

Wow, I have been interested in UFOs for some time and different reasons.

There are a couple brothers who work for me, they ride to work together, etc. They saw something in the sky a few mornings ago and, because they know I like hearing about sightings or odd things in the air, the first thing they did was tell me what they saw.

They described a giant, somewhat green, light falling through the air. They said it had a slight tail, but looked like an incredibly bright street light with what they described as molten metal falling/pouring off it as it streaked across the sky.

I didn't see it with my own eyes, but they were having a hard time describing just how bright and close it seemed to them. They kept trying to make me realize how big it was, so I could tell it was something that mesmerized them.

I don't know why, but I never connected their story to this thread's massive explosion.... but was reminded of it when I read a few posts above, about the sightings and location.

I live in Knoxville, TN area and my workers live in Anderson Co./Clinton area.... maybe they were seeing the same thing as the witnesses in these reports

One of the last things I heard about the event came from the governor, when he retracted a previous statement that said gad leak and meth lab was ruled out.

Maybe the utility board that supplies the gas really didn't know what it was, but they knew it wasn't a leak and that accounts for the early dismissal of the gas leak theory.

Maybe there is something they don't want us to know and it is something they didn't even know at the time, but when the explosion's catalyst was discovered they were asked to help keep it quiet by retracting the previous assertion that denied the source as a gas leak....

Kinda like Roswell, in that the true story was released soon after the event, but was later retracted and filled in with a mundane and believable explanation...

agreed and please don't get me wrong, i still don't know what happened.
however, i have never known a gas explosion to involve ANY delay in ignition of fire, have you ?

Ya think? Yep I'm aware but that doesn't mean people should throw logic out the window.

Logic would dictate to me the question is still open (at least it was 10 pages ago, lol).

I'll have to read up here but has there been an 'off-icial' decree from the Ministery of Truth as to the cause?

I first thought 'fraud'--- but then again let's not forget fraud could be cover for something bigger.

any chance you would provide a link for this "statement" by the governor ?
i haven't seen such a statement and am curious as to your source, thanks.

Wow, talk about doomporn, that banner...!

Summary of Hypothesis: The seas, lakes and oceans are now pluming deadly hydrogen sulfide and suffocating methane. Hydrogen sulfide is a highly toxic water-soluble heavier-than-air gas and will accumulate in low-lying areas. Methane is slightly more buoyant than normal air and so will be all around, but will tend to contaminate our atmosphere from the top down. These gases are sickening and killing oxygen-using life all around the world, including human life, as our atmosphere is increasingly poisoned. Because both gases are highly flammable and because our entire civilization is built around fire and flammable fuels, this is leading to more fires and explosions. This is an extinction level event and will likely decimate both the biosphere and human population and it is debatable whether humankind can survive this event.

Should be easy to gather actual measurement data on?

Wow! Star for you man.

Kinda puts into perspective just how much is truly happening right now.

Does he say why he thinks the gases are leaking?

can someone reply with a good summary of what happened, my computer sucks and i dont have time to wait 3 minutes a page loading each page trying to go through 81 pages of replies.

thanks in advance.

Huge explosion that destroyed 2 house completely and damaged up to 30 more. Some of those have been deemed hazards and will be torn down. 2 people died.

Right now the 'official' suspect for the cause is a natural gas explosion. Because the damage is so widespread, many people are wondering if that really could have happened.

When reports came in right after the explosion, many stated they heard the "whine of a jet engine" leading some to believe a plane crashed. Also some people have reported seeing a fire ball in the sky (meteor?).

Also internet hoaxer sorcha faal is in on the mix stating the Russian's detected a hellfire missal launch from a drone and that is what caused the explosion. Again, known hoaxer.

Many are pointing to a malfunctioning furnace as the cause. The family from that house was away for the weekend and there is some speculation that this might have been an insurance scam gone wrong.

I'm in Indianapolis, like many on this thread, and have been following along since the beginning.

One thing that strikes me most of all is that two homes 'exploded'. One was occupied, one was not. (they even 'boarded' their cat for the night... anybody out there have a cat? I have two. Cats don't want or need this.)

I watched the woman interviewed this morning (ex-wife, I believe) and I don't believe she was crying as hard as she was trying.

While I believe this has been made to look like it was a gas leak, I don't believe it's possible to fill one house with gas to make the house next door explode.

I do believe it would be an excellent "opportunity" to use a vacant house next door, to arrange an accident for your "target"; the next door neighbors. Who is this guy, really? Dion Longworth

Info mostly starts at 3:00 into the video.

Doesn't seem likely that he took himself out with a resume like this, and if not; why did it happen to happen at 11:10 on 11/10?
