What will be your main weapons in a SHTF Scenario

Aside from the obvious
"Keeping a level head" answer.

Mine is the Bow and Arrow for range, Ive been practicing my archery and feel quite confident I will be able to survive off of animals in Rural areas of Australia (Already love Kangaroo meat )

And for close range I have a machete, nothing special but a very useful tool. Quite intimidating too.

I chose these as my Primary Weapons because neither require a great deal of upkeep and a bow and arrow are as stealthy as they are lethal.

I just picked one of these up on eBay

The barrel needed to be re blued but she fires like a charm now. I even made a makeshift trailer for it out of an old red wagon so I can tow it behind my mountain bike...

Although we have acquired a shot gun and a Glock 40 cal today to add to the assault rifle, revolver, hunting rifle, and sig 40.

I'm good. Plus I have top notch ninja skills.

Weapons are tools: hunting, self defense and offense. The best tool in a SHTF scenario is your brain; that is, your attitude towards what happens to you; your ability to think and act under pressure and the will to survive and not panic. I have and would suggest a variety of "tools" but the actual ones utilized depends on whether you hunker down or bug out. If you hunker down and are on a list (most people on this site probably) then they will come looking for you. If you bug out prepare to deal with multiple road blocks and ID checks (and if you are on the list then you will be arrested on the spot). Much depends on the ability of the govt to exercise control (ie Martial Law) during a SHTF scenario....but if there is a total break down of society then the govt could be the least of your problems which include other people looking for food, water and shelter (yours if you hunker down at home). I do not want to enumerate my tools but I will say that aside from firearms one should have other weapons on hand (ie bow and arrow or crossbow; a large knife and perhaps a melee weapon like a contemporary mace or tomahawk).

Primary: PWS AR15
Secondary: USP Compact .45 or G19

Weapons can be alot of things, 10-22,9mil,12gauge,44 rifle, another22, cross bows, compound bows, and lots of garden seeds and a huge garden space. Lots of knives. I also live in a very cold part of the world and believe me if SHTF and it happens in the dead of winter, cold will be my greatest weapon and remote living, I am over twenty miles from the nearest town.

My weapon would be my brain and stay out of the way. I have orders to follow
