I cant remember the date ,but i will check it out, it was a poor example as the sun was going down and you couldnt see much. However i did see another total solar eclipse when i was about seven or so . We lived in the country and the birds went quiet and i got a bit scared and ran up the long driveway to the house as it was happening and asked my mother what was going on lol. It was an excellent version and experience as it was a hot sunny day and it happened right in the middle of the day. I will look for the date of the ceduna eclipse ,ive got photos but one of the people with me at the time has passed away so its a painfull to look at those. cheers

Some people are rather dismissive of your observations in relation to this possibility...but intuition based on observation...is a powerful thing.

Interesting.

So perhaps you can point those that are dismissive to the notion of solar eclipses causing earthquakes towards previous events where this has happened in Australia?

That should shut them up, right?

As I am not very eloquent perhaps this link may give you food for foughtezinearticles.com...

it's really nothing to do with the eclipse. It has more to do with the alignment that is beginning now and the energy of the moon the next 2 weeks. It was an observation that gave me a feeling immediately that I wanted to share. Just take it for what it is. I did go look at your other eclipse and the energy was not the same to me. I will post a picture soon.

Just wanted to point out the reason most publications is using the 14th is cause it actually is happening on the 14th mate. 6am till 8am here in Australia this Wednesday.

What I find interesting is that the world spinning on its axis is slowing down. So if the Mayans were using the 2012 date and then planning on the eclipse as well as the astronomical events at the same time, we might actually find that this eclipse was predicted to occur in South America and not in Australia.

So if there are going to be EQ's they won't be in Australia, they will be in South America.

The total solar eclipse will occur on Tuesday, Nov. 13, but it will actually be Nov. 14 local time for observers south of the equator.

I may have reversed what I read. That's all you have to offer though?

Just a quick calculation, for those who might be confused (like me). The eclipse times(local) are here. About 6:30 AM local time Nov 14th.

And for those who don't calculate time zones in their head, that would be 3:30 PM Nov 13th Eastern Standard Time, and 8:30 PM Nov 13th London Time, cuz of that whole international date line thing.

So, if they have a live feed, now ya know when to catch it.

Good thing it is not the full moon.

why yes it is, otherwise we would be hit by the sun.

unless you are talking of a lunar eclipse.

It's impossible to have a solar eclipse during a full moon.
By definition, solar eclipses ALWAYS happen during the New Moon.

Because of this alignment, when the Moon transitions into its "Full Phase" (10 days from now); I think there will be a major earthquake (7+) in the Australian region or very close to there. If not, I won't be disappointed.

These are screen shots of the days following the eclipse and the position the moon takes as it transitions into the full moon phase:

11-16: Skirting by Sagittarius...

11-19: Scooting by Capricornus...

11-21: Hello Aquarius, mind if I get a drink...

11-22: A snack with Pisces...

11-24: Think it's time for a nap...

Just an update for those that want it.
