The ever illusive whitetail hides within the forest, and deep within the swamps,

He keep on thriving off the land, even when it's at it poorest,

In spring and summer your always all around, when fall moves in your knowhere to be found,

Some are smart and live very long, others give up to the hunters after dawn,

The one we seek is giant and mighty, king of these forests, without being humbly,

We hunt for the trophy upon your head, you will feed us and sustain us long after your dead,

You give us a thrill, with your unending will, to not become our pray,

Until the time our paths cross right, wether in the morning or in the night,

We hold you in regaurd for the greatness you are, But it does really suck when we hit you with our car.

I've been tangling with a very nice 10 pointer for the last week. Sunk an arrow under his belly the other day after rattling him off of three does. Rattled him in again yesterday but couldn't get a clear shot. I have high hopes for the morning hunt tomorrow though. Good luck to you and thanks for reading.

General rifle season starts Monday morning in this province. I do have a compound bow but I only use that for target practice. Maybe I will try to hunt with that someday.
