There is a certain segment of the voting population who votes for whoever promises them more of other peoples money. Whether it be the welfare parasites, or the corporate welfare parasites, they arent likely to change their attitudes, so measures must be taken to prevent them from having a say in how our money is spent.

There are exponentially more "have nots" in this country than there are "haves". The "have nots" want what the "haves" have. Since they refuse to earn it themselves, they vote it to themselves instead. Instead of showing up to work every day and making something of themselves, they show up to the voting booth on a single day.

There is nothing wrong with restricting voting to landowners and people who actually pay taxes. Afterall, it is their money, they and they alone should vote for how it is spent.

By doing that, you're encouraging a class warfare. You're helping define barriers, divides.

What we need to do is TEACH those that feel that entitlements are the only way to security, the only answer is goverment to start looking at themselves again as the ones in control.

We've ceded so much control and authority over our lives that the government was more than happy to step in and take over.

GET OVER IT.
Enough of the inflammatory comments and fearmongering. Now is the time to heal, not tear this country apart any more than you already have.

If you're so unhappy, leave and start your own country. Nobody's stopping you, and I will personally help you pack and drive you to the airport, free of charge.

Thank you for revealing the TRUE nature of the "Big Party" tent - the Democrats. The "inclusive, inviting and diverse" party that they claim to be but aren't in any remote way.

I've already said my good-bye to America and have also finished grieving the loss of it. Now I am simply preparing for life AFTER America, in America. One that is going to be filled with chaos, anarchy, hardships and pain. I'm preparing - I suggest the rest of my non-Democrat friends do the same.

Attention Democrats: DO NOT even think about coming to me for help or aid. You voted for this and you will live with it - on your own!

Hi kozmo

What about me? I'm nothing - not dumbocrat, not republicon. I didn't vote - I don't want to be a part of this system. And I sure as hell don't want to be associated with the idiot that is yelling "We won, get over it" as dirt is shoveled onto his coffin. Can at least entertain the idea of coming to you for aid? I'm just your fellow brother. It would put me at ease a little if I new I there was someone to turn to. If not, I will have to deal with that.

Also kozmo, can you share how you got over grieving for our country? I don't want to go through all 5 steps if I don't have to. The only thing I can think of that currently takes my mind off of everything is golf. Just you and ball, no one else to blame but yourself out there on the course. Lush green grass, sunshine, a small motorized vehicle, trying to quiet the mind for a moment to allow your muscle memory to take over and strike the ball square. Watching the ball rise into the blue sky as you shoot your eyes down to the pin and back up at the ball, waiting for the perfect shot to land in the hole. So challenging and so rewarding. Ah, got lost in thought there.

I'm golfing Saturday morning. Shot a 74 my last time out, which was my best round ever.

kozmo - you don't have to respond to any of this. You just provided me with an opportunity to forget about the world, and for that I thank you.

why do republicans automatically associate Obama with soviet socialism? The Democrats should be more closely associated with the democratic socialism of Denmark and Norway. BIG DIFFERENCE between how the two define the "state" and the "private individual". Regardless - the silent majority in the USA (and this is increasingly LESS white and more diverse - THANK GOD) have spoken. The USA is increasingly moving to the democratic socialist model and aligning itself with the European Union. If you observe closely the pieces are now falling into place for a one world government (not a political one - but that may come with time) but a one world government CONSCIOUSNESS. I believe this to be preparation for the singularity - which is due in 15 years. With the coming of the singularity there will be no more -isms - capital, social etc. Interesting times...

Because sometimes truth conflicts with peoples ignorant beliefs, and people tend to feel rather strongly about their beliefs and have difficulty changing them. Just one reason that religion is such a "hot" button for a lot of people too.

CBO disagrees with the ops.

Think I will go with bipartisan professionals than some partisan conspiracy theorist about the economic outlook of the country..especially when said partisan is part of the party that has increased the debt massively whenever they entered office.

So ya...gonna stick with reality on this one..but its good to have a strong debate about debt. Dick Cheney's remarks on how debt doesn't matter sickened me then and now. they do matter.

And so what we need is spending streamlining (cuts) working in conjunction with revenue increasing...this is what needs to happen, and to anyone saying one part doesn't need to happen, well, they aren't living in the objective reality.

we can dismiss their thinking.

and we did dismiss their thinking on november 6th.

the sword of our nation must be sharp on both ends to cut through this debt.

Here is what is not going to change with the Presidency (the house reps, the senate or the SCJ's):

43% of our budget goes to the miliary and to medical.

The US takes in 2.2 trillion dollars.

The US spends 3.5 trillion dollars.

We have to keep borrowing money and raising the debt ceiling otherwise our Government defaults.

If the US government defaults, the military does not get paid. All governement offices close. Social Security and Medicaid stop...and so on.

This isn't about communism, marxism, socialism or any of that crap. Those are old world fear mongering tactics used to make us "free folk" feel scared.

This is all about the Benjamins.

You have to cut government spending and it is going to hurt like a bitch. No more free hand outs. A culling of the military (which will hurt industries related to it), a huge reduction in government medical programs...a privatization of the school system....adn the list goes on.

You have to spend less than you take in so that the loans and the national debt can actually go in the other direction.

I 'm not sure I would believe everything the CBO says. The director of the CBO,Douglas W. Elmendorf, was selected by the Dem leaders in 2008. He may be swayed to give the Dems a better looking report.

Douglas W. Elmendorf is director of the Congressional Budget Office. An economist with experience throughout the federal government, he was selected for the job by Democratic leaders in Congress in late December 2008
NY Times

Great Job OP! Let's see what happens with Obama's upcoming meeting with Congressional leaders discussing the fiscal cliff which we are already over.

So, if I am reading this right...what your saying is what we need to do is immediately give a large across the board tax cuts?

Here in Alberta I pay roughly 450.00 bucks a year to Alberta Health and I'm covered for just about everything. Plus on top of that I have health insurance from work which covers the rest.

What are you talking about man!! Socialism, health care, who cares about that. Don't you understand 16 trillion debt? No hope of paying it? More of the same coming? Don't you get it?

collapse is coming VERY FAST!

Obama holds up pen to sign any bills
Repubs stand fast
Democrats plan to increase budget ceiling 2.4 trillion
Petreaus canned on bogus trumped up charges to avoid testimony
Clinton talking about leaving
Pelosi talking about stagnant congress
Holder looking for an exit
stock market drops 3%
chavez tells obama to get his economy under control
people voting based on race, and you call white people racist? 93% blacks vote obama
39% white vote obama ( I guess the other 61% are racist right? insane mentality)
bernanke give unlimited easing
obama looking at small arms treaty with U.N.
shale oil in western U.S. not authorized any longer for exploration/extraction
assault rifle/magazine capacity bans looming

That is only THREE DAYS after the election, this is a train wreck happening RIGHT NOW!

All of you obama supporters, I will not share my "insane prepper" storage with you, and I will consider you a threat to my family and GOD FEARING community, you caused this, you go ask the government for handouts, I got nothing for any of you!

Edit - dont let me forget that obama held off iran attacking our military aircraft a week before elections, act of war? No, obama will not even consider this a threat.

The CBO is always right...its like asking when a calculator was last right.
This whole fiscal cliff thing is what the CBO is saying, they are non partisan..they are just math tools that state cold hard facts..let the people then spin the numbers, ignore them, be angry at them, etc..its not their concern..

but both sides use them.

Contrary to right wing belief, math is math..feelings are not a concern to math, nor do feelings make math go away...
There are still conservatives feeling like zombies because of the "unskewed" craptastic nonsense of republimath and numberisms they were using instead of simple mathmatical facts. Either get with reality and start accepting facts, or not..personally I find the insanely delusional quite amusing, however, there is often the danger that some will slip by and do something like operate heavy machinery or win some political office..so it should be addressed (and not by giving them a job at fox news).

Wow, you summed it up very nicely. The friendly, smiling man in the black sedan offered goodies to the kiddies & they ecstatically got in dragging the rest of us with them on this socialist ride to destruction. You're so right - we all lost on election night - it's just that the glazed eyed worshipers with the glowing faces of adoration haven't figured it out yet. Kind of reminds me of this - www.youtube.com...

over a hundred years.

May take us another hundred to pay it off.

Next time the Dems balance the book and a surplus is shown...thr right better not come in and nullifly that.
pretend care on debt when a Dem is in office, then cheering the debt growth under their party.

We need to balance the budget, we need to more than balance it, we need to tip it to surplus -again-!.

Now, spend the rest of the weekend studying the clinton years budget and the bush years...then on sunday, ask why the hell the reps weren't moaning about the debt for all those years as bush took the country from surplus to exploding debt.
