First off, i'm tired. It's 10:38. Call me old fashion, I like sleep.
I will try to explain my point of view as much as possible.

Lately, I have been concerned with my enlightenment or the process towards it. I have had a hard time understanding what I should be doing or (thinking) at many points of my life.

I truly do feel inspired in some electric unseeing experience that happens to me when I meditate or find many coincidental things amongst life. Signs, numbers occurrence, time farts? call it what you will but my train of thought has changed and I would like to share.

I am a perfectionist, It has gotten to me this far on my own perfection towards enlightenment. This train of thought is a double edge sword (from my experience). It is an incredible positive when you use it during self anaylisi, understanding your moods, emotions and ups and downs. Trying to be perfect is almost everyone dream. Also, did I mention it came with its own "soap box"? You can tell people what is and what isn't (nobody likes that might I add)

The negatives is, too much analytical thinking can destroy yourself. Stressing about how bad you are, looking at porn or swearing! Making you feel less than human. (here comes the self beating catholic) You can really torture yourself from this point of view. Trying to be perfect is, impossible. I use the word perfect as in "bettering of oneself". To better yourself is to perfect yourself. Which is good!

So after 28 years of learning and experience points (lol) I have come to the conclusion that "humanity" is the remedy for this as well.

You must think of your Humanity and the Humanity around you at the same time. Yourself and the civil duty of others.

For example, I know humans make mistakes and I shouldn't beat myself up if I make a mistake. Many of us hate to make one wrong move, so instead of letting it go, we internalize it inside us, making it gnaw through our being. Humanity is the answer to this. In order for us to realize our potential, we have to not take ourselves so serious.
To take ourselves less serious, we really have to STOP thinking we are some sort of god on earth. Many people believe in the mindset that we are gods. We create, think, talk, civilization, society, culture, etc etc.
This notion must be eradicated before any of these teachings are taken into consideration.

When we think of our humanity we can make mistakes, fall on the ground, stumble at an important interview, spill coffeee on your lap and let things go as it is and not let us defeat ourselves in our own mind. On top of that we can also give to others as well. The giving to Humanity, which is all the charity works and good.

and yes, my thread is misspelled on my sig,
thank you

for those who don't know what I am talking about go to
I have found the meaning of life. Thread

You might be troubling yourself with too many philosophical concepts. You're not going to be able to think yourself into liberation. The chatter in our minds and the resulting suffering and feeling of being lost, can only happen when we believe our thoughts to be the truth. Do some looking into the concept called "Maya". Maya, is what keeps most searchers on the hamster wheel of enlightenment.

There is no process that can make you enlightened. This is enlightenment but you can't see it, you have not realized it yet.
The human condition is to seek. Humans seek for something to take away the pain of being human. Humans feel lost and confused, they feel there is something missing, something lacking. The pain is believing that you are separate from life, the belief is that 'I have a life' when the truth is 'I am life'.
The belief is that one day i will be complete, so the belief is i am not complete now. This is complete - this is wholeness but the individual can't see this. The individual seeks and the seeking is suffering.
Only when you come to this moment of presence and realize that this is all there is will you be free. You will be free because the truth shall set you free.

The 'secret' of enlightenment is that it will happen whether you seek it or not. The guy pumping your gas, the girl checking out your groceries.... everyone is moving toward it whether they are aware of it or not. They may not reach it in this lifetime but enlightenment is an inevitalbe process that we cannot escape from. The point of enlightenment isn't the the destination, for you, me, and everybody else has already reached it. The point if enlightenment is your journey toward that realisation. You gotta learn to just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Enlightenment is the now, for there is only ever the now. We are all connected in so many ways on so many levels and it is only our mindset that we are separate. We are all gods, or rather we are all God. When you can understand this you will slowly lose the anxieties which surround day to day life and truly begin to live. There is no good and evil, there is no right or wrong for these are simply mental constructs. All that exists is action and consequence.

So if you want to beat yourself up for watching midget porn or whatever (pun intended) you must realise that the act of self critiquing can and will cause just as much harm as the act itself. Instead of thinking to yourself 'I bet the Dalai Lama wouldn't have done this' possibly you should really be thinking 'will I care at all about this in a year from now. Does it really matter to anyone but me what I have just done?' If the answer is no then you must consider why you worry about it so much now. Obviously one day we want to move toward a world where midgets no longer feel the need to star in porn and guys aren't turned on by that sort of thing
but everything is enfolding exactly how it is meant to, and the reason it does so is purely to facilitate the journey of humanity to reach this understanding. Know this and you will know peace. Time and space are merely illusions created to blindside us into believing that everything hasn't already happened all at once in the same spot. We are simply different awarenesses of the collective whole experiencing our own chosen parts of creation. And if you want to have a little fun on the side then this is simply another facet on the gem of our experiences. We are not here to learn lessons, for the lesson will be learnt regardless. We are here for the experience. Prior to now your purpose was to experience the life of a 28 year old fretting about not yet being a zen master. What is it now...? Only you can make that call.

You just have to remember not to lose yourself in the distractions and one day you will reach a point where things such as these will no longer distract you. But all good things take 'time'.

It is good you are working closer to humanity for the world on the outside is an accurate gauge to our own internal state. The world is your mirror, learn to love the reflection...

Peace out

(Since we're unleashing insights...)

Everyone is born a zen master, fully enlightened and powerful; most just don't realize it.

Perfection isn't something that one simply achieves—it is already fundamental. Every mistake, discrepancy and difference is a part of one's perfection. There's no need to concern ourselves with reaching some contrived ideal, ie. enlightenment, perfection, nirvana, etc. for these are merely states of mind that someone once put too much profundity on; but how truly profound are states of mind? Simple introspection shows that they are not in the least bit profound. Thinking ourselves perfect or imperfect, enlightened or unenlightened doesn't change a thing except perhaps our own way of thinking.

Our egos are malleable. We form our own masks and express ourselves as we choose. We aren't slaves to them. On this website I am predictably negative—not because I am negative, but because I choose to be, and I wish others to receive me that way. My ego is under my control and I am merely experimenting with different multi-faceted aspects of myself. I can look at the world from angles most wish not to. This is a choice, not a rule.

Do what you wish with your ego. It is your expression. It is your art. Experiment with and explore your capabilities. Each one of us is already perfect, only a human can pretend he isn't.

Everything you do do out of love. Live in your heart no matter what, the hardest lesson to learn is to love your enemy but love them as if they are your mother and father, along with all people and trees animals plants EVERY living thing even the earth herself. Feel connected to the life energy flowing from our bodies mingling with others like smoke it spins and moves along the air then spreads out over a distance enveloping everything around it. Think of your heart in this way you make a very strong field around yourself love and kindness bursting out of your chest! ready to wrap the warmth of love around anyone and everyone.
Love is the key to the universal happiness for all.

Use your words like a weapon and destroy all that is unable to defend against it. This is the fastest and most painfull way to find answers to all your questions.

An infinte number have and will live in ignorance writhing in pain untill thier deaths... find what meaning you can in that... but beware the mirages of self-comfort in the desert of delusion. Knowledge is a double edged sword in deed.

Unless you learn the art of "acceptance" which is life with warts 'n all, then aiming for perfection is always going to be your stumbling block.

Don't be perfect, be you.

I am on a path of partial enlightenment. There are different degrees of understanding what it is, it is not just a thought. I believe I have achieve much success in my lifetime where I am at and where I am going. One of the major thing to my realization is not to just achieve enlightenment but to go forth and live it out afterwards. If you become completely enlighten, your journey is yet to be over, this i know.

I know where I am at, and critiquing yourselif will only get you so far.
