What right wing radio talk show host did you parrot that from?
You couldn't buy a clue if it were for sale.

I'm neither a conservative or a liberal
I've only read what you posted. You live in a dream world
where all the worlds problems are solved by removing fundamental
rights and liberties. such as guns!
Who will be the people that have guns in your world ?
I'll tell you who... The Criminals, that's who !

You're Democratic(Socialist) beliefs will not save you
from people that have zero respect for the law.
Try telling them about how very much Obama cares about them
while they are Pointing a "Banned Gun" at you're head
and Taking everything you love and value.
And all you have is 911 to save you.

Good luck with that.

And this just the Gun's.

I propose it is you sir, That has no clue.

Oh yea, And you Parrot MSM. ha,ha,ha,ha.

Just wonder if you ever heard this statement before youngster.
"Better dead then Red."

When people actually start dying, and from what I see you think that will make you happy because if we are not with ya we are not worth living, and the money runs out I will be looking out of my grave with a grin of glee on it as you reap what you have sown.

I,m going on about just 'one' of the many reasons Liberalism is destroying our Country.

Sounds like what meant to say was "Resistance is futile. Submit to us".

How arrogant.

@Brain.......I believe you when you say you are neither conservative nor liberal. But if your intent was to suggest you are independent thinking then you have jumped the shark. I don't believe you watched the Maddow video. There is nothing she said that wasn't honestly how she feels. She believes the two party system is important and that the other side has needed valuable contributions to make for solving our Country's problems. The readers here can either agree with this or not. You could be more intellectually honest by simply stating that you do not agree with her.
I didn't read everyone's comments, so I doubt you are alone in your myopic views. There is nothing to debate in this thread. Maddow gave her opinion and her message to the GOP and the message again is that the two parties have to work together if they are going to address our problems and come up with the best solutions, not a Democrat solution, not a Republican solution, but an American solution. What would our Country look like if the founding fathers were all Federalist?

If you believe your guns are going to be taken under this President, you only responded to this thread because you saw "Maddow" in the title and just wanted to attack the left.

Pure +Energy+ is choice.
"Whether one is in heaven or hell, thinking makes it so".
Unknown quote though still works for the day.

first, I did watch the video.
I was not responding to the video, I was responding to all the comments
on the thread. I was simply pointing that Liberals live in a dream world.
and picking one topic as a point of reference

Thank you for responding.

Since I created this beast, I thought I'd respond once more. All I can say is that it will be interesting to revisit this 1, 2, 4 years from now to see where we're at. The reason I posted this is because I thought she was getting to the heart of what is wrong with Washington these days - the inability to compromise because of extreme views. IMHO, this is most noticeable on the right. So, bash all you want against the president, against Maddow, against the right, against the left, but the bottom line is the *only* way *anything* will get done in Washington right now is if we work together - we have a 2 party system - it's not ideal, but it is what it is - so that's what we need to make work. You can argue the pros and cons of the president's plans, but without cooperation, nothing will get done. Ignoring the constant negative rhetoric, there are actually smart people in Washington with good intentions and I've always said that I would rather see *something* get done, regardless of which side that "something" is coming from, rather than nothing as a result of obstructionist tactics. To me, there's now a different vibe in the country - hopefully *everyone* in Washington will take to heart how the country has spoken and get back to work *for us*.

Here is the thing. Both...Both of what you say above are false

I am not wrong about the administration blaming the movie. Then why would Jay Carney and Hilary make these statements?

September 12 -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton: "We are working to determine the precise motivations and methods of those who carried out this assault. Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place at our embassy in Cairo yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet. America's commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear: There is no justification for this; none."

September 18 -- Jay Carney: "Our belief, based on the information we have, is it was the video that caused the unrest in Cairo, and the video and the unrest in Cairo that helped -- that precipitated some of the unrest in Benghazi and elsewhere. What other factors were involved is a matter of investigation."

September 13 -- Jay Carney: "The protests we're seeing around the region are in reaction to this movie. They are not directly in reaction to any policy of the United States or the government of the United States or the people of the United States."
CNN

Obama himself blamed the movie at the U.N.

Speaking at the opening of the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday, President Obama portrayed the deaths of four Americans in Libya as a result of inflamed tensions over an anti-Islam movie produced in the U.S., rather than a terrorist attack.

The irony of your avatar, given your political views, is not lost on me.

Hell, Paul Ryan's supposed favorite band is Rage Against the Machine, so keep on humming "Story of My Life" while you worry over your 401k statement.

On a side note, will anyone ever do something about Fox News? That channel is really messing people up real bad, I can't name another news station that scares people as much as them. From what I've seen, most Fox News viewers are literary scared of Obama, they think he will destroy the US in the next 4 years. Someone needs to stop this madness, these people are brainwashed, and they can't stop watching Fox News.

I think we can do more than just deal with a bad situation. I believe third parties would be viable if elections were run on the instant run off model.

The basic form is mark candidates by preference, the lowest count candidate gets dropped, and those people's secondary choice is used, and so on until two candidates are left and one has the larger vote count.

If we remove the game theory liberals and libertarians play when they vote, they are more likely to vote for the party that matches their principals...

2014 ballot initiatives for IRV on the state level would pass, it is a far better way of handling elections because your vote is never wasted in the end it goes to one of r two most viable candidates.

Maddow isn't the first one to say it and it was hardly a rant. It sounded almost pleading.

The truth is that the GOP got it's buttocks handed to it on a plate and she and others are explaining why.

I think it was Haley Barber who said. You know you are in trouble when someone asks you how the "rape" guy is doing and you have to answer "which one?"

How dare you put such a great man and fellow fraternity brother in the sentence as that idiot liberal shill!
