It is exhausting talking with liberals who keep saying it is about tolerance when it is clearly not.

Brainwashed since birth, thirdeye, they been brainwashed since birth, they know no other way.

Um, the tea party is part of the GOP.

Nope. the GOP attached itself to the Tea Party. Don't confuse conservative with republican.

They are not the same.

When you lay down with dogs, you wake up with fleas. Unless and until the GOP gets rid of the radical fringe element teabaggers, it will be tarred with that brush.

Just curious...what is it about if not tolerance?

What is it about that I am misunderstanding?

I see you didn't answer my several requests to list the socialistically derived things you have received this month. Exactly, because you are playing make believe and have no evidence of ACTUALLY socialism, you

You don't know what you are talking about and this is just fluff because you are not listening to me and you don't want to know what is going on. You have no viable arguments to counter my points.

I am getting tired of this obtuse stuff from you.

I have tried my best to explain things but you are unwilling to understand. I can't make you understand. So I am going to leave you with thanks for helping me to show that people who support a popular President don't always know what it is they are really supporting.

Ironically, I don't dislike Rachel. In fact she seems a likeable person. I don't have to agree with her positions though. It's funny how she rants about how Romney ran in Massachusetts as a Progressive but how he ran as conservative in the Presidential election, which appears to be true, but Democrats have painted Romney as an extreme right winger.

But can you really blame any man for saying they believe in a woman's right to abortion? Men are afraid to cross women on this issue. Would you blame any of them? Wanna cross a radical feminist?

Like the oil industry isn't subsidized now? Give it a break.
You are the only folks on the planet that consider clean energy a communist plot.

And not only that, the energy companies (ie BP, Chevron, Shell, etc.) have their sticky little fingers in the clean energy pie, too. It's not just the Solyndras. The oil companies are playing both sides. They can't lose.

False equivalency. The Democrats aren't the ones catering to the Tea Party. The GOP is, so they shouldn't complain when people call them "conservatives" or "neocons" and not Republicans.

You wish to FORCE me by taxes which if I do not pay I go to jail. That is not forcing?
Have I said I was against other religions? I thought I was saying give the same to Christianity you give to others.
I have no problem with any sexual orientations. Just with a religion being FORCED to accept them. If they wish to be married in religion have them do it in another. Why FORCE Christianity to be the religion they are married in?

No one is trying to force religions to marry anyone. That is the fact of it. Religions however are trying to stop the government from extending the same legal rights to those who are homosexual. That is also fact. There are plenty of Churches out there that will perform them of their own free will.

You wish to stop senseless killings? Have Holder and any others involved with Fast and Furious arrested.

Quit trying to enforce a prohibition that has done nothing but increase spending and exacerbated the crime rate. Or do you like the fact the Government is sanctioning this modern day game of cowboys and indians?

You know when a good time to bitch about social engineering elections would have been? In the 80's when Ronnie Raygun opened the door to the religious right in order to build his coalition.

As to the rest? Cry me a river. Your so called free-market capitalism has done nothing but elevate 400 families towards demigod-hood. The gap between the ultra rich and everyone else is so large now, companies that can't succeed without government interference are paying their CEO's 4000 times what an entry level employee makes.

On top of all that, you want to cry that "good people" are being marginalized while calling 51% of America "marxists." No thanks, Senator McCarthy. Back to the refuse pile of history with that ridiculous nonsense.

Its not False.

You're stuck on Labels.

Both Party's have FAILED. But its convenient to put blame on one Party. Last I checked, 99.9 % of Congress are Millionaires, out of touch with America. A paltry 21% of Americans approve of Congress. ALL Party's "cater" to Lobbyists. Which fleas are picky, when it comes to blood?

True. This is why many people think this and all other energy sources should belong to the people and others call that socialism. Socialism is when you do not have a vigorous private enterprise or free market capitalist system. Not when you don't allow private ownership over public properties and vital resources. Investment in clean energy is one of the mandates this electorate voted in. Failed or not I think we keep trying.

What will stop someone from bottling and selling clean and breathable air in tanks some day? Some shortsighted legislation (like we see now with big oil) permits enterprise to siphon it all off (under the pretense of cleaning it and redistributing it) and eventually all breathable air becomes owned by the oxygen companies. We may have to buy it. And we will forget when it was a free public resource and a human right. Energy should be a right in all but third world countries that don't have it yet and progress should be toward getting it even there.

We all have to sit down and determine what people get with birth on this planet and then quit trying to bottle it and sell it back.

We weren't talking about the Democrats. You're the one who got mad because someone equated the GOP with the teabaggers. So then you go off on a red herring and false equivalency about the Democrats.

We could have had it 35 years ago. But I guess that's OT here.

Keep being stupid.

That'll bring everyone together, for suuuure. Either read the material or don't come to class. There is one way to mend this nation...and it involves the GOP moving from the right. America has spoken.
Ummm.....put a sock in it jackwagon...just because you voted FOR the NDAA, your pedophile pals at TSA, food stamp lines that go around the block, higher taxes on the MIDDLE CLASS, small business layoffs and closures, INDEFINATE QE's...thats right, bailouts of your banksters and multinational corporations, forever high unemployment rates...and lets be honest, even sock puppets like you know that the real figures are WAY higher than 8, 9, or 10%. YOU also voted FOR the indefinite war, the neverending war, drones bombing Pakistan, drones bombing Yemen, drones coming to a town near you. The destruction of Libya, Bengazigate, Fast and Furious..................and on and on and on, et al, etc, ie...............So be proud of your accomplishments because you OWN every misery that you and your ILK have foisted on the rest of us, you OWN, the women and children murdered by drone strike, by destabilization and instigation. You OWN the NWO that you just propped up.......Yeah...gloat while you can, because stooges like you will be cast aside like chaff before the wind once the gloves come off.............simple minds can't see beyond your own supplicant status from there on your knees, worshiping bro Soetoro and the crash thats coming..........You WILL reap what you sow and when you finally open your eyes after it's too late...............well my friend, then it will be too late and we will turn our backs on you and say we never knew you...

You do know that the Tea Party has elements of Republicans, Democrat's and Independents?

But why would you know that? Its easier to lump them in with the GOP. You do know who started the Tea Party? It was Ron Paul supporters. You can say Hijacked, and I would agree with you.

I place ALL Politicians in the same group. Scumbags. Some worse then others.

When I see people like Rachel Maddow blast Romney for his Wealth, but never once talk about Nancy Pelosi and her Wealth, I see agenda. The same agenda I see Rush Limbaugh push. Ratings, and manipulating weak minded individuals......

Actually this is incorrect Socialism is nothing more and nothing less than the workers owning the means of production. There is nothing in or about socialism that prevents it from operating in a free market system. A simplified example would be Ford being owned and operated by the workers instead of it's stockholders. The workers would be free to use whatever hierarchical and pay structures they chose.

She accuses others of being deluded yet believes the 2 party system is debate between "best ideas"? Wake up Rachel, the big banks run both sides and they are the only winners in this election.
I know Obama can do no wrong in her eyes but jeez......
I used to admire her spunk but now she's just another talking head that loves berating the "other" side.

I would go point by point on her list but I'm sure someone else already has.
"the deficit hasn't gone up"
What was that about real math?

Eta: I would hardly call 53% or whatever the margin was a mandate.

8 years of Obama?

It actually hasn't even been 4 yet, Neo.

Of course people blame Bush for the economic mess. He did put us there.
The solutions to the debt are going to have to come from a combination of spending cuts and revenues. This is not a one sided issue. Let's hope Boehner and the president can make it happen.

The Daily Show on election night put up a fake projection:

"Mitt Romney is projected to win the Confederacy"

I had a good laugh on that one! I hope Rush explodes but alas I know he won't...the money is too good!

Sorry Kelli. By your definition neither - are we a socialist country.

We are social animals but we are not a socialist country by a long shot.

The deficit hasn't gone up, the national debt however has. This is why the country is in the mess it is in. They want to talk about debts and deficits yet seemingly do not know the difference between the two. Just like Clinton's surplus was a budget surplus that started paying down the debt, it wasn't just money that was laying around. Then came the conservatives and they wanted a tax cut. So which is it do you want this stuff paid off or not? It is time to grow up and realize trickle down and more tax cuts are about as effective as a reused condom.
