You do realize, don't you (though maybe given that response, you don't...) that there were in most states more choices than two?.

Well, the media sure didn't even acknowledge the existence of other candidates, much less inform us about their ideology. You gotta do your own research on these other nominees. Many people just don't have the resources to do so.

You support NDAA, NDRP, the Extension of the patriot act, the 30,000 drones over the us by 2015, the murder of an American citizen in Yemen and the war in Afghanistan

Are you honestly claiming Romney would veto any of those??

you said the key word.....ones a choice....and the way your born isnt

no child is born gay...its not even a question....or a "thing"

sex is to breed....having a limp wrist is a choice....its developed...like acne lol

once again ...just saying

Oh my gawd. Thats why most gay's spend years of their lives in denial. Often having numerous unfulfilling and awkward relationships with females.

You really think something that is so difficult to accept and that will bring forth a lifetime of ridicule and hatred, is a choice someone actually makes?

You need to get out more.

It just goes to show, African Americans don't really have a problem with slavery, as long as the overseer is also African American.

It's not just the United States that is finished. From this day forward, the entire human race will be enslaved. Anyone that dares to oppose their corrupt government will be killed.

Hopefully, some cosmic event will occur that extinguishes the human race. I would rather see us gone than to be a species of slaves. We do not deserve a place in the universe. We're not smart enough to be free.

Not to mention he would vote to repeal the civil rights act because he supposedly think that it violates private property rights.

Ron Paul: Civil Rights Act Of 1964 'Destroyed' Privacy

The Civil Rights Act repealed the notorious Jim Crow laws; forced schools, bathrooms and buses to desegregate; and banned employment discrimination. Although Paul was not around to weigh in on the landmark legislation at the time, he had the chance to cast a symbolic vote against it in 2004, when the House of Representatives took up a resolution "recognizing and honoring the 40th anniversary of congressional passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964." Paul was the only member who voted "no."

www.huffingtonpost.com...

He is a total creep. How anyone thinks that his campaign represents freedom is beyond me. The propaganda campaign behind him did a fantastic job though. The cult of personality is disturbing.

that cosmic event you speak of is already developed in a lab, that will be carried out by nanobit flying machines the size of a tiny bug, they will pick and choose who they want....kind of like a video game (in my theory) so if you cant beat them....join them,

apply to go live in utah and work for their new super awesome fun house "AKA" NDAA building

You don't have to convince me. I've been called all kinds of names on ATS for being anti-Ron Paul.

I use the Fair Housing Act as an example. Before that act - - you could "design" your neighborhood. If you wanted a white only Christian neighborhood - - no problem. Freedom to have what ever you want. Can you see that power per state? Start with one state - - boot everyone out that doesn't follow Christian rule. Add another state. Offer move incentives - etc.

Talk about going backwards into the dark ages.

Is anyone else completely dumbfounded that on a "conspiracy" website, there are more Obama supporters then Ron Paul supporters? What's going on here?

I think you can clearly see 'what's going on here.' The media LIED, CHEATED, MANIPULATED
and MARGINALIZED a very popular candidate......at least I can see it

Here are the results of the ATS 2012 Republican Poll. See if you can find Mitt Romney somewhere
down there. He received a few percent of the vote.

I'm sorry, my bad, he got two percent. Ron Paul only beat him out by about 70 percent or so.
...Oh, beat him AND ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES COMBINED by about 70 percent or so, I mean.

This was a poll of 17,000 ATS'ers

And if you supported and voted for the other guy you supported all that and more.

Along with that you admitted you were also Anti-Environment, Anti-Women. Anti-immigrant, anti-gay rights, anti-science and anti-education and Pro-War.

The lines between democrats and republicans have become so blurred in the past several decades that its really inconsequential who you or I did or did not vote for. Washington and all its politicians have become so detached from the public that Americans no longer trust their elected officials. The reality is that Washington is no longer serves its people because special interest takes up too much of its time. Manufacturing has left, technical jobs are profitable but few, unemployment is record high, the cost of education is crazy, fewer and fewer Americans are pursuing engineering, medical, and scientific careers. As industrialized nation the U.S. is falling farther and farther behind the rest of the world. We've started wars on multiple fronts in multiple theaters for what God only knows. Our foreign policy is based solely upon American interests, interests that don't represent the American public as a whole, rather those few rich special interest groups in bed with Washington politicians. These actions by our government have continued to alienate America from the rest of the globe. Without sounding paranoid I believe our civil liberties are constantly threatened by what the government may term National Security. The Patriot Act is just the beginning.

The state of affairs in political America is upside and long from being fixed. Politicians have forgotten who they work for. They have forgotten that they are Public Servants. To me, they are no better than the dog warden or town judge or local sherriff. Hell, Americans do not even really directly elect the POTUS. It doesn't help that the public has been completely brainwashed by Washington into thinking they care about you or me or your neighbor. Selfishness is at an all-time high in this country. Do term limits help or hurt politicians? According to a Gallup poll in 2012, Congress had a 10% approval rating among Americans! Given the fact that most incumbents seek re-election and their chance of winning exceeds 90%, this has tremendously scary implications for everyday Americans. What I see is an overwhelming ineffectual system in serious need of replacement.

Talk about an American Horror Story!

Let me ask you this. Do you think the people on ATS is an accurate representation of the voters in the US taking into consideration most older people do not even know how to use a computer, ATS is made up of people from other countries, it is a conspiracy website, and the multitudes of people who participated in the poll are the same ones who started threads on how they refuse to vote?

The last one about people that do not vote is a misleading question because roughly half the nation does not vote as well but those people had no effect on the elections. They make a lot of noise but when it comes to effecting the government they are not heard and may as well not exist.

Hey racist, it's 2012. Please try to catch up with the times.

You should try to leave your parents farm and actually interact with some black people.

If you voted for Obama, you support the destruction of the 4th amendment. I don't care if you say "I was voting for the lesser of 2 evils". If you want to purge the evil, don't vote at all! Stop playing their game!

Do you guys have any idea what is happening? Do you honestly think NDAA, NDRP, and the patriot act were made for fun? I always get the typical answer of "Well, no one is being arrested so dont worry about it."

I have a few answers to that.

First, the MSM did not cover NDAA. What makes you think MSM would cover the arrests?

Second, what makes you think arrests can't happen in the future? Are you willing to take that risk with your rights and stand by the sidelines and not say anything? Seriously?

One more thing, if you think sacrificing your rights as a citizen for National Defense is justified, your completely off your rocker. Sacrificing civil liberties for National Defense doesn't, and will never work.

Even then, if you care so much about national defense, why don't you want us to come home from Afghanistan, and get us out of 134 countries we currently have bases in?

Gee, what's going to strengthen our borders, Big Brother or actual boots on the ground?

Jesus Christ I don't know if I'm preaching to the choir, but this is just disgusting. How can you people on a f'ing "conspiracy" website willingly vote for a man that has destroyed the 4th amendment?

There is no justification for any of this. You had Ron Paul and you managed to throw him away like trash.

Congratulations Obama supporters, you support Big Brother, The war in Afghanistan, and the murder of American citizens. Let's pat ourselves on the back!

Only you can wake yourself up. No one else can do this for you.

And voting for Romney would have reversed all that...right? I voted for Obama because I like the guy and I did not want Romney (Faker than a 4 dollar bill) self anywhere near the White House. At the end of the day Romney flopped on every single position known to man. I like Ron Paul but he should have run third party instead of sticking with the party that treated him like trash. Its his own fault that his ideas didn't get taken seriously, he is a party of complete nutcases. So yes, Obama is back, and I don't expect the world to collapse since he is President.

Your negativity is amazing. Your borderline racist talk is an example of your path in life. Which has been limited. Doctor Doom would not allow you to have his face as your avatar because you bleed ignorance. Humanity will be fine and you will continue to come to the internet and talk your madness. But for the life of me...Chill out.

ATS is made up of people from all walks of life, old and young, with different viewpoints, from different
countries, and from different cultures. That doesn't in any way diminish the overwhelming popularity
of Ron Paul on these boards--because the membership here is informed and skeptical,
They seek answers to deep questions and they (IMO) have a greater knowledge of
government and world politics than the average person.

Whether or not they vote is a red herring. Voting for the lessor of two evils is not much of a choice.
When a person is confronted with candidates who only differ on fringe social issues and not on important
issues like foreign policy or the national debt, abstaining from voting is to be expected. It's the same
reason why people don't fish in their swimming pool...it's pointless and a waste of time.

I have watched the documentary you mentioned 'The World Without US' and wasn't too impressed.
Great cinematography, well presented content, but convenient to the director's agenda in the
details left out. No mention of US influence behind the scenes propping up favored regimes
regardless of human interest---as long as it served the US and NATO agenda. No mention of
how Britain and the US displaced an entire country of people after WW2 and helped create
the nation state of Israel, so as to have an ally in the area. No mention of supporting men like
Osama Bin Laden with weapons and training, and then turning their back on them, and creating
the hated version of America we see today.

Point is, American foreign policy amounts to going out in the backyard and stirring up a bee's nest
to steal the honey---and then complaining when we get stung.

Ron Paul's foreign policy is the foreign policy of the founding fathers--trade and commerce with
all, ally with none.
