Look, I know I'm preaching a bit here, but, if you voted for Obama or Romney, you support NDAA, that means, you support the unlawful detention of US citizens. That's what I'm trying to say.

So your saying Obama had no jurisdiction over extending or getting rid of the patriot act? At this point I think congress is more or less a dog and pony show. NDRP was an executive order, what stops Obama from signing another one? Even then NDAA passed through congress with high numbers. Did we go through Congress when we started bombing Libya, Pakistan, or Afghanistan? How about the American Citizen killed in Yemen?

I did not know about Ron Paul oking that. Well there you can see my ignorance. But even then would you rather have a President who has stayed consistent in his voting for over 20 years in congress, or Obama, who promised to take us out of Afghanistan and end the patriot act? End big gov. take us out of all these wars, stop building this failed empire and stop giving foreign aid to other countries. What other candidate has promoted any of these issues?

If Ron Paul was elected cut ties, and pulled our forces from around the world WW3 would have started and we would have been pulled into it. Simplistic answers to complicated problems cause even bigger complicated problems. Ron Paul was a decent man with bad ideas.

How would ww3 have started? If anything WW3 would start because we would invade Iran on the pretense of them having nuclear weapons. Does Ron Paul want to invade Iran? No of course not. Building this Empire that we cannot afford is completely irrational. But sure, if you want to be an Empire that polices the world, by all means.

Maybe you do not realize that US forces are what keep regions stabilized and deter other countries from invading pulling those forces out would be disastrous on a world wide scale.

I am not trying to insult your intelligence here but if you disagree I will ask you to watch a documentary called The World Without US it is on Netflix before arguing otherwise. It is a likely scenario which depicts the current environment of the world theater. It answers the very question you asked.

Please watch the movie it can explain much faster than me with several examples that have already happened in recent years. The US is the main enforcer of NATO without US forces the combined strength of NATO isn’t a quarter of our own.

You say people are not born gay? And the earth is only 5,000 years old too right? Jesus also died and came back 40 days later.

Trannys choose to have a penis or vag. But there are people born gay

Every human on earth deserves the same treatment/respect....just saying

This might be rather OT, but claiming that a transsexual (which, by the way, is an entirely different thing than a TRANSVESTITE) is it by choice - is the most retarded thing i ever heard.

I also did not have the impression that any of my gay friends in the past (whether they're guys or girls) were gay "by choice". You are just uttering ignorant and uneducated nonsense here, embarrassing to read really.

People feel just as important as a president does when they get the "choice" to vote for the "leader"... its an old cheap trick man has being playing on man for eons.. "We are the higher authority, vote for which one of us you want to make decisions around here" .. except the two options work for the same team

This is nonsense. The fact that I voted for Obama does not mean I support all those things. There is much in his agenda that I vehemently oppose. I voted for the lesser evil. I voted against a bigot.

This need to see everything as black and white, either/or, against us or for us, is unproductive to any discussion.

I don't support that crap, now or ever. You don't know me, don't judge me or anyone else. That's the problem - all this judging of others based on one item of their life.

I think that is the difference between red/blue voters. Red judges and demand all others conform to their worldview - or die!!! And blue accepts different world views as valid and attempts to include all (including reds).

This is why people call you guys Paul bots.

I've just shown you that he isn't consistent and you're still here telling me he is.

He's supposed to be for states rights yet sponsored a bill that would ban abortion on a federal level?
He claims to be a constitutionalists yet wants to get rid of the post office?
He claims to be against ear marks and free-market yet requests them?
He claims to be a libertarian but is against gay marriage due to his religion?
He claims to be a non-interventionist yet voted for the invasion of Afghanistan?

The guy is a paradoxical fraud.

Rand Paul endorsed Romney, he basically sold out, if I would look forward to anyone being elected in 2016 it would be Jesse Ventura.

You mean the guy living in Mexico that said he'd apply for Mexican citizenship?

The former Navy SEAL then vowed to apply for dual citizenship in Mexico so he could spend more time living there instead of his native land.

“I will never stand for the national anthem again,” he said to his audience, referring to his lost patriotism. “I will turn my back and I will raise a fist.”

tsminteractive.com...

Raise a fist? Does he mean a fist like how people on this board claim it's a socialist fist?

Maybe he needs to run for pres of mexico
Seems he's done gave up on the ol' US and A

sorry to poke fun, but nobody is going to save us from ourselves.
edit on 7-11-2012 by Komonazmuk because: (no reason given)

I believe he (Jesse Ventura) has stated that his move to Mexico was due to threats and rumors indicating possible future attempts at taking his life.

That being said, can you blame him?

Thank you - - Thank you.

He is a Southern Fundamental Christian in sheep's clothing. He is just like the other "Old White Guys" - - with a different approach.

People see what they want to see.

The last thing we need is 50 little countries all making their own laws. Reminds me of how things were before the Fair Housing Act.
