The freedom to come to the ATS "New Topics" page and not see it bloody smothered with politics!!!

Now I know the dust is just settling but I don't know how the hell you guys can put up with it - it's like you have political OCD.

Build a bridge and get over it.

Its done...........you know - spilt milk and all!

PLEASE don't tell me the international community has to put up with this for another 4 years.

There is not one topic raised on the aforementioned page that cannot be added to an existing ATS political MADNESS thread - not one.[/b

OK thats better, venting complete, I will return to under my rock

I can't help but wonder what the threads would have been like if Romney won.

Yeah let's be anal. The answers May not be a "freedom" persay but obviously people are listing ways they have been personally affected by Obama, Bush, etc.

The right to not be unlawfully detained has been posted many times. Not sure how you can miss that.

No please, be anal. It's the least you can do.

No one has lost anything except their dignities. Everyone is still free to go buy their guns, eat their McDonalds and watch their television. God forbid we lose those. America is just as American as it's always been.

Besides, I was only trying to put fuel on the fire. It's fun to watch this niaiserie.

The Freedom of being able to say I don`t want this man as President without being labeled as a Prejudice minded person.

Depending on what part of the country you are from this could be true. If you have a legitimate reason, and are willing to discuss it intelligently, there are many of us that would not label you. If you are going to label the president as an african born, muslim, socialist, marxist, I don't know any one that would discuss it with you, and we are going to label you as a racist. Welcome to the current state of politics in the USA. I do not particularly want this man as my president, but the choices the repubs offered in this cycle were sorry, I could either vote for the rich white boy, or the batcrap insane theocrats, of which there were many.

God, if he exists, must have a great sense of humor, three of the repub candidates for pres, said that God wanted them to run. None of them were even the repub nominee. The repubs need to realize that this isn't there grandparents country anymore, and get the religion out of the politics. The majority of the country is socially liberal, or just don't care. The people in my generation have accepted blacks, hispanics, asians, and muslims. My kids generation has accepted all of the above, plus the fact that some people are gay, lesbian, bi, or transsexual.

To the repubs, quit worrying about what church I do or do not attend, what women do with their bodies, get out of my bedroom, and ignore the fact that my skin color does not match yours. Deal with the issues that real Americans have to deal with, and quite worrying about crap that doesn't matter to the majority in this country. If you can do all of the above, you may be relevant in the next election, if you can't, you may go the way of the Know Nothing Party.

I have gained the freedom to pay money I dont have ( obamacare fine for not having insurance) for being to poor to purchase healthcare.

Duh. If you are to poor to purchase healthcare, you WONT be TAXED or FINED.

I can no longer travel, and be safe from unlawful searches and seizures, as the TSA now has the "right" to strip search me, because all Americans are terrorists, until strip searched and molested otherwise.

Flying is not, nor will it ever be (in our lifetimes anyway) a right. You never had it. Not before Obama, not after.

I no longer have a right to habeus corpus, as they can detain me indefinitely without any charges or trial or representation.

This one is debatable. Started by Bush Jr, continued by Obama.

Obommbo is destroying America when he has been taking all your freedoms away but the libral media hides it from us so we don't even know yet.

This actually made me laugh.

Thanks for the chuckle, needed it. Kinda like watching FauxNews on election night. Priceless.
