So. A question. In a choice between being prepared to protect your loved ones in the event that a disaster occurs to the extent that you alienate them, or perishing at thier side and remaining with them till the last, which would you choose?

If he's that afraid, I would be extremely cautious with him. You may love him and him you, but if he decides neither of you could survive a world disaster, things could get bad. There are some who think they would be doing their loved ones a favor by putting them out of their misery. Try to get him to stop watching the fear mongers and show him the facts about the Mayan calendar.
