I know there are many election threads out now but I believe this topic is unique enough to have it's own discussion.
Yes Obama won the presidential elections, he got more than 270 votes. However the facts remain:
1. Obama won less states than he did in 2008
2. Obama is looking like he won't win the popular vote
3. The Republicans maintained their control over the house.
People are moping around about "why" many people still support Obama, when infact Obama had lost many of the support he had gained in 2008, even in
his own party. The fact is, this is about Romney and the fact he failed to make a case about why he would be a viable alternative. Romney's political
views are actually not all that different from Obama's, he introduced an identical healthcare law to Obama's one when he was governor for goodness
sakes.
Instead of whining about why people voted Obama in again, why aren't we getting reasons about why Romney should have been voted in? Why? Why
should people have voted in the Republicans in instead? The NDAA? The Patriot Act? what? Because they'll give tax cuts to the wealthy? Maybe people
should spend more time explaining to us the benefits of getting the Republicans in the whitehouse, instead of how bad Obama really is.
