I am not convinced that one person can make a real difference in this mess were in.

Wasn't completely sure what candidate was better than the other, we know who really rules.

However, I will leave you with a comment I read on an FB post.

"If any of you are voting for or supporting Mitt Romney today, I want you to go find the nearest woman, look her in the eyes and tell her, “I am voting for Mitt Romney because my tax break matters more than your healthcare and well being. I would rather save a few dollars than make sure you continue to have equal pay for the jobs you do. I do not feel guilty about stripping you of your fundamental rights.”
I want you to find the nearest gay couple and tell them, “My personal beliefs mean more to me than your lifestyle. I am perfectly okay with someone legally and forcefully divorcing you for my own selfish views.”
I want you to find the nearest orphaned child and say, “We are going to flood the adoption system and the odds of you getting adopted are going to plummet. We will not allow gay couples to adopt you, and we will cut the support budget for parents that would like to take care of you, making your adoption even more unlikely. You will probably rot in the system until your eighteenth birthday.”
I want you to find the nearest rape victim and tell them, “Your rape was a gift from God. It was meant to happen and you have no right to be upset. With my vote today, I will make sure that the man who forcefully sexually assaulted you will have parental rights over the child you are no longer allowed to abort.” and then kindly realize that your reasons for voting for that awful man are pure bull#"

There are many things at stake, but she has a point.

if you look back on 2008 on ATS, similar threads popped up, and just like them, this would be a history.

As a Canadian, i think this is a good thing. Oh well, at least there is LESS chance for Iran to get wiped out of face of earth, and Less chance for America to be Israel's bi**h.

Sorry eh, but we probably already have boots on the ground in Iran, we definitely have drones in the air, and we will most definitely continue to carry water for Israel.

This train is still on the same track it always was

Well, not everyone involved in the (s)election process is, first and fore-mostly, loyal to this country, so...traitor may be an inaccurate term. 'Tis a NWO thing.

It was over when romney and his corporate 'friends' knifed the Constitution, between the shoulder blades, in the dark.

It may be a blessing in disguise.

I didn't vote for Obama, cause i knew that being in California, it would be blue anyways, so I voted for Roseanne....... tired of the 2 party system...... JESSE VENTURA in 2016.........

Obama didn't get us here, Bush did, wonder how different America would be right now, if Gore would have won in 2000, not Bush......

8 years of Bush brought us down........in the early 2000's I was traveling alot in Europe.... you should have heared what they thought of us for electing Bush and what a "cowboy" president we have(had at that time)... it was soooooooo embarassing.....really really Bush bashing back in the day... they knew it, but we got screwed...... Obama is the lesser of 2 evils........ it's all smoke and mirrors, wish George Carlin would have ran, at least people like George Carlin, Jesse Ventura, Roseanne, etc... get the point that it's all BS, and things need to change not just 2 parties..... 3,4 5 even would be great. not allowing more than 2 parties to debate is pathetic...... really pathetic.......

like my mother said today, she wants to start a new party herself..... THE COMMON SENSE PARTY........
it's true...... I have to balance my checkbook every month, but the government dosen't?????? how you figure???? Get the HECK OUT OF THE MIDDLE EAST, and focus on us AMERICANS.........

Can't wait till my generation and my son's generation get old enough to be in politics, things will change and this OLD SCHOOL way of thinking will be a thing of the past..... tired of having men in suits think they know what's best for us..... NONE OF THEM KNOW what's best for us.......

like i said, obama lesser of the 2 evils.......

JESSE VENTURA IN 2016......... then we will see stuff really happen around here......
Obama or tony the tiger couldn't have cleaned up Bush's mess in 4 years, or even 8 probably........ we will be fixing this for DECADES to come....... let it go.........

If you think that President Obama has the ability to print money without the Republican controlled congresses permission then your point is valid. However, Obama cannot spend a single penny without congress authorizing it in a budget. You can't blame a President entirely when the congress authorizes the spending. At best you could blame the entire system.

erm

MOre parties will not make it better, just look at the rest of the world.

I never said more parties was the answer. You can pretend it is a three sided coin if you want, it is still the same "beast".

What I am saying is we do not have control at the top of this "food chain" on planet earth. Start caring about your local elections instead of getting distressed because your side of the coin loses. We all lose. The sooner you stop hitting these mirages with a stick the happier you will be. Maybe one day we will wake up and quit suckling on this tit called government

Until that day I will not get emotionally wrapped up in such a system.
I will however enjoy the ride.

The way the electoral system works many people in certain states just don't bother voting when they know their candidate doesn't stand a chance in hell. We did that to ourselves. Had the electoral college been killed before the election, these results would no doubt have been far different in this and other recent races. You know...if every vote actually mattered.

No one is a traitor for having differing political opinions from you or like minded people. There's no need for gloom and doom. Last time I checked being able to vote your conscience is part of what makes this country great. If Romney won the country wouldn't fall apart and it won't under Obama. Stop the divisiveness.... The economy is largely cyclical, and you might not agree with Obama supporters, but an attitude like yours only hurts, it never helps.
