They are extending voting for LOCAL and STATE positions. They can't extend for the national election. Only Congress can.



Well this is great news! You just made my night! But why delay it for local elections if they still need to do the presidential election earlier anyways? Doesn't make sense.. Anyways, thank for clearing this up! And I updated my original post.

Well, look at it this way. If this republic were to work the way it is SUPPOSED TO then the local and state votes are of far more importance than the national vote since the power should reside at those levels. Long story short, the state has the say over their state and local votes, they don't over the national level vote!

I half expect a mirror repeat of 2000.

This time the repub's will be crying about winning the popular but losing the electoral and they'll push for four years to get rid of the electoral college until 2016 when the electoral works in their favor.

Just as the dems did all those years ago.
