Why do all the Obama fans act like great change is coming?? We just had 4 years with Obama and the country is still in shambles, so I'm not sure how everyone is seeing this great change.... But let's be real, obviously a democratic president who gives free money out to desperate "entitled" folks will win, he's essentially buying votes... Well at the end of the day I'm allowed to complain over the next 4 years because I voted for Romney. 50%....either side. The last 4-6 elections have born that % out at being just about dead on, regardless who won or who was sitting in office. We're divided damn near even. So...if there is a 2/3rd result for either man, the calls of B.S. will be deafening.

I'll stick my neck out and say that you're absolutely wrong on this. No doubt there will be some bellyaching in bars and such, but incidents of street violence, let alone civil unrest are not going to happen. This will be for three reasons:

1) Everybody shares a common relief that the election is over.

2) The sky didn't fall the last time Obama got elected, so no reason to expect it will this time around

3) The House and Senate didn't change dramatically, so there will be a near-zero net effect in governance.

That's statistically odd.

Not really, given that they have pulled as very closed and have been considered/declared battleground states since early in the campaign. The voting has paralleled the last state polls, so nothing very suspicious about it.

And not all of them have gone the same way; North Carolina went by a similar margin to Romney. And Obama lost only two states this time that he won last time around: N.C. and Indiana, so it is not particularly surprising that he won again in the swing states he did.

In Canada we are celebrating and are very happy for America/ns.

Now I'm still a little unfamiliar with politics but with the seats does Obama have a majority government to pass legislature now?
