ANYONE who thinks our Government is okay in the state it's in right now, and wants Obama to continue with our downfall, or that Romney would actually be a better change is living in a world of denial.

*walks away shaking head...*

Off the high horse.. This holier than thou i'm to good for EITHER candidate is bunk..

One of them is going to be in, and whether the office of POTUS is or is not a big deal
the supreme court nominees are HUGE and they will be ruling you and your childrens life
for the next 30 years, I for one think thats a bigger deal then POTUS themself.

Huh? Okay....THAT made sense.

It's a matter of not having faith in either man. Just because I don't think either one is good as a leader of our country doesn't place me on any horse.

Well, you have Obama that hasn't really done much in 4 years and Romney who would most likely give more breaks to the big wigs and still leave the lower and middle class hanging. We will just have to see what they do once they get into office...or back in office. If it's Obama I hope he continues his fight for Alternative Energy and if it's Romney I hope he makes good on bringing jobs to America.

As for foreign policy, besides war, I don't think there should be much more to discuss. We need to focus on our country right now and save being the hero to other countries for a later date. Sure, if something really bad goes wrong we should help but MOST of our resources should go to making America the country it once was.

So choosing one of the two candidates causes you to lose respect for an ATS member?

What is the other choice?

I think most of us are disillusioned with the two party system, but what are our viable options?

And after 2 years of political fighting here on ATS, it's nice to blow off some steam, have a few cyber drinks with some worthy opponents, and laugh.

Lord knows we need to laugh.

We agree again.

Happening a bit to often latley.

Here's to you Beezer.

I'm rather partial to the Islay Malts. Cheers.

I agree, a few friendly drinks for both sides of the isle, may mellow tempers a bit...here's my contribution to the open bar...

Des

Ah there it is. My Petrone tequilla. Thanks Des. I was getting awful thirsty. Lick, slurp, swallow. See it even sounds sexy !

The implication either of these two men will have on your life must slipped your mind, because
the next president will be replacing 2 up to possibly 3 supreme court justices..

Everyone see's the same problems.

It's just that we all differ on the solutions.

I think the democrats solutions aren't as good as the republicans.

(And I don't think the republicans solutions are that hot either)

So it's not the lesser of 2 evils.

It's the greater of 2 goods that we are voting for.

Pfft...

Me, I voted for the Greater Evil this election.

Voting for the lesser evil is for amateurs. Never settle for second best.

I'm recording the names of everyone in this thread who voted for Obama and am compiling the ATS Terrorists/Traitor/ Socialist/Anti-US Constitution list.

You Romney supporters are no better but at least so far Romney hasn't usurped the US Constitution. I'm shocked you people have such closed eyes that you don't see the harm to this country Obama is doing. You want a free lunch but you have no clue Government's job is not to give away free lunches.

Your all guilty of Terrorists/Traitor/ Socialist/Anti-US Constitution by association. The smart thing would be to vote, " None of the Above"

Agreed X2. Did you, like me, exercise your rights as an American and not vote?

On a side note, my posts keep getting burried.

Off-Topic: Coast, I recognize your name when I was a long time lurker so maybe you can answer my question. I'll send you a U2U (I think that's what it's called on here) that way I don't go more off-topic.

Years later we are still debating what Meatloaf "won't do".

And I would do anything for love, but I won't do that...

I think I know what it is...and ouch, no thank you!

Relax, we all know it was the ironing he wouldn't do.
I thought this was well established?

Irishman checking in. Will be spending the evening with you fine people while watching the US election coverage. I take a strong interest in Irish, British, European & US politics, I spent '08 here & will do so again in 2012.

We're left of Lenin over here, not having a right wing party (being an Irish republican means you're pretty much a Socialist) so naturally I'm rooting for an Obama win - I am not suggesting he's a Socialist, in fact he's not even close.

Heff, I hope your right. In my opinion it can go either of 2 ways. Obama wins by a landslide & its all over quite quickly, or its a very tight race down to the wire with Obama inching over the finish line.

I got my beer, I got my munchies so lets see how it pans out.

Cool story, bro. I'll be sure to worry after you and the rest of the RAPRUSA/Sovereigns/Ron Paulistinians stage that coup ('restore the Republic') you folks are always daydreaming about.
