I apologize if I misinterpreted your first post. You are correct, some people who work, have not voted yet. I am also correct, some people who work have voted. Heck, some on the west coast may not be awake yet.

I read it as, since it was posted on a thread celebrating Obamas victory, that the only people who have voted are the unemployed so they must favor Obama. I now see that you were simply stating that Heff should not celebrate yet as not everyone has voted.

I say we shake hands, each do a tequila shot (or 2 or 3) and party on till they call it, you know on January 19th, once all the court battles are fought 

No worries.

The easy way is to copy whatever text you want into a Word or Open Office document, do your writeup there and then just open a “reply” and paste it in. That way if you lose the post you still have your backup.

That's what I'm doing right now, actually. It's also useful if you want to reply to two or three people at once. Hit “reply to” on one, copy the code into the document, then click back on the browser, hit the next one and so on.

People, I just want to say that from a moderating point of view, as long as the discussion stays somewhere near the main topic and within T&Cs, all is good.

I've only had to remove one post that was seriously breaking the T&Cs, so it's an absolute credit to you all that you are able to discuss things in such a friendly and reasonable way.

Just go easy on those multiple layer quotes within quotes, okay?
Looking at them can make your head spin, specially after a few drinks.

So MSNBC is stating they think Obama has Virginia because of the large turnout.
There you go again, giving us all more reason to drink.

Some heavily.

Pretty sure my turn will come.

I heard that some people that work for a living are going to be voting later today.

After they finish working.

I voted first then went to work. Late ,because the line was two hours long. Thats ok. I got my choice in and thats what matters.
Vote everyone.
Its your civic duty and your right as an American. The rest of the world prays for democracy. We have it. Use it!

Bush accidentally voted for Obama

Hehe. I guess he got confused by the voting machine and accidentally voted for Obama. When he tried to fix it, he thought "cast vote" meant get rid of your vote. The election officials wouldn't let him recast his vote. Too funny.

I hope you are right. I have a feeling however that this could drag out for a week or more. New Jersey is allowing email votes through Friday for example. Similar happenings with some absentee ballots I do believe.

Might not be hearing the typical concession speech tonight.

I am. I have no thoughts to this being a land slide. A hard fought battle and two fearsome candidates has made this one of the most interesting election periods I can remember. Congratulations are due to which ever of these gentlemen wins. Hey, I know I dont have it in me to be a public servant. My hat is off to anyone who dedicates his life to country.

New Jersey can only allow voting on other ballot initiatives.

The presidential voting stops at midnight.

Federal law.

(unless I'm waaaay off base here)
