The victims of Hurricane Sandy beg for more help from the federal government as Obama plays politics on his campaign trail.

Some victims complain that after being left with nothing, help has been slow to arrive.

Is it fair to blame Obama for any delays in help arriving?

It is if he has tried to make political capital out of helping the Hurricane victims.

Yes! its fair game here on ATS to blame the president for everything the government does wrong, or because some victims still need help.

It's the victims of Hurricane Sandy I feel sorry for, not Obama.

There are politicians to blame, absolutely there are. You may start with Bloomberg. The 25 Billion Dollar Man doesn't seem to have much heart for the normal joe in the street. Among the things my friend up there mentioned to me...and others can confirm or deny....is that Manhattan is getting the bear's share of police and guard attention for security and enforcement while the outer boroughs are getting what is available after that.

Well... people live in the outer buroughs. There's only money (by way of the imbalance of men deployed) in Manhattan. That mayor DEFINES the 1% I stood against with occupy and what is wrong with this world. I didn't know he was worth more than a few annual state government budgets combined until last night. Blame that scumbag. He's making clear decisions that are dooming people.

I'll say something else... There are things I heard that I'm NOT sharing. The reason is that I can't verify them beyond what he told me and however much I trust the source, I'm not repeating explosive allegations about the Political leadership of New York City without at least a 2nd to corroborate. HOWEVER......When the people are all turned back on and everyone has power and a telephone........the stories may just curl toes and outrage the entire nation.

....... Obama isn't to blame here. I hate the guy...but he's doing it right here. As far as ANY President can do anything, he's done it. Now that his chores are done, he can go play, so to speak. What has he done? Take a look at the DoD deployment list. It makes Katrina look like a minor fender bender for how much sheer mass of relief and military aid is rolling, sailing or flying that direction. THAT is what Bush didn't do....and about all any President can, IMO.

It certainly appears to be a terrible situation for many people, no doubt about that.

However, the fact that the word "Romney" appears at the end of the video reeks of shameless politicizing. Don't think that was necessary at all.

I support neither of these fellas, but has Romney made any statements outlining what he would have/would be doing differently?

Very touching video, I just wonder what the world is thinking of us now. Lost all credibility, and if I were a tourist with loads of money I would not come to the states on vacation.

FEMA is a bloated, wasteful, incompetent government bureaucracy.

Private sector organizations like the Red Cross needs to lead the way in situations like this.

Well, it would seem that the big O can do no wrong. If this had been a 'conservative', even if only in name, the media would have ssh-meered him like liverwurst across the screen. 24 and seven. So I'm gathering that they like barry for this one. A cursory glance at any news segment, post Sandy, will confirm this.

I hope the zionista have to stay up all night deciding which shill to present us as POTUS.
It isn't a matter of DO they decide. In this case, they're not sure which one wins. The (s)election is a tough one, this time, even for them. Maybe they're changing the line in Vegas. idk and I don't care. Why get excited about a POTUS with executive kill powers, mayors who randomly search and detain random persons...cops that kill, taze, even accident victims? Or anyone who doesn't give out ID?

They blurbed for about 4 seconds on the Sandy aftermath, this evening, in Chicago, on the news. They said 'fema trains will evacuate the tens of thousands of stranded'. Then they changed stories back to anything but the lack of help FEMA, and Obama, have sent in. Even the sentence structure they used was quippish, truncated, not to be questioned.

I saw a YT documentary, from the police abuse thread here at ats.

www.youtube.com...#!

Ok. There's no way around this stuff, barring disaster, upheaval, and rebellion. This is the state the government requires, desires, and has delivered, pulling all stops. When I see a newscaster and hear the things that come out of her mouth, I am gaping at pornography of the most scatological ruin...just naked souls crawling about the floor strewn with filth, depravity, in a world where 'integrity' does not exist in the dictionary. They are lying about any or all abuses of power they can lie about, lying to US! If you get exposed to lies enough, you are in danger of losing your discernment, so listen carefully.

Where's Trump with that 5 million? The people could really use it? Or does he have to get his way to help those in need? That part of the country has too many affluent people for anyone to suffer from lack of basic needs. I watched the Falcons Cowboys game where the NFL commissioner was in New York for the Giants game and back in Atlanta in time for the Falcon game. He seemed to have no problem getting around. It's great to see all the celebs tap dancing for fund raisers but very few hang around to follow the money or make sure the people are being helped. We give billions to banks and when our own need help they come right back to the American people for more money. Where's QE for these victims? As for the government did anyone expect anything different? Doesn't matter whose in office. The average citizen is expendable..

Why didn't Obama unseal his college transcripts?

The people could have really used the 5 million.
