If you really want to make your prayers count then pray for the miracle that neither one of them will win. This is as close to a lose-lose situation I believe I have ever seen on the national ballot.

Well I'm in the 47%. Disabled with cancer. I live off what I put into the system. Obama has made it easier for me. Romney will strip my healthcare and my livelihood. No need to say more.

In a nutshell, we the non-US citizens of the world are not neccessarily pro-Obama as we are utterly horrified at the prospect of anything resembling in any way the Bush/Cheney form of governance, and we are very anxious about this election given how close the race appears to be.

We are hoping that you might recognize within the framework of the current system (however flawed the exclusively two party system may be) how powerful your vote in opposition to Romney could be.

Yeah, but one of them IS going to win, so I'm suggesting that you cast a vote against the greater of the two evils. What else is there to do? Use whatever power you have, and vote! It does and will make a difference, in terms of the weighting of power and in whose favor it will tip, and with respect to the "leadership" of the "ruling elite" class, the data on that is IN (they cannot be trusted to serve and not to simply be served or to help themselves).

From what I've seen, reading between the lines, Romney represents Bush Jr. on steroids with crony-capitalists including the military industrialists, up the ying yang.

The wealthiest 20% of Americans pay 80% of our taxes, how much more should they pay? 90%? Since when is it a crime to be rich? I've never worked for a poor man.

The people in this palce that do not even understand the overpolling on democratic side are NUTS.

yes General Patton stated NUTS, same to most of you.

Socialism/communism/marxism/statism, you are all freaking nuts to support this mess.

Romney will win by a LANDSLIDE, look at the early voting, if the turnout on election day is even equivilent to 2008, Romney has each state by +6% that are considered battleground. It is a landslide folks, keep smoking your liberal colelge pipe dreams

Firstly, I love your avatar.

Secondly, that is an incredibly narrow, shallow viewpoint that, if broken down into more details, completely falls apart.

Third, nobody thinks that being rich is a crime. The crime is when the rich use their money to gain unfair advantage over others and screw everyone else.

Let me explain the math to you...they are NOT paying their fair share.

You people need to wake-up. Most rich people got there by working tirelessly, not by asking for hand-outs.

Was that a joke?
No, really?

While I do not support either Romney or Obama, I just had to comment on this one. "Most" "rich" people did not get there via hard work, some did, but not "most." Why would anyone who isn't rich believe such nonsense? "Most" rich people do everything within their powers to screw over the majority of us so that they can remain at the very top. They're just a bunch of greedy bastards who would never defend you or I because they do not believe it would benefit them in any way to do so, so why do you come to their aid?

I am an American living outside the US, for that I must vote absentee and the deed is already done. In all good conscience I voted for Johnson/Gray as that is more the America I would like to see, for a number of reasons. I refuse to be a deciding vote for Obama or Romney, I voted against them both. The American people will have to decide who they want and live with those consequences, I won't support their "favorites" this time around.

I may consider Obama the somewhat lesser of those two evils, but nonetheless he is what he is. I will not be on the affirmative side of any decision that puts either of them in that position of power. I just can't do that to my fellow man.

I always hate the flag system on this particular forum because I feel like if its a conservative bashing thread that it will get a lot of attention from democrats and vice versa. I feel like Obama and Romney are essentially the same person, we shall not see any good from either candidate in the long run.

Most rich people got there by working tirelessly, not by asking for hand-outs.

The majority of people who work "tirelessly" are working for others, for shiate wage, barely meeting basic requirements like health care, paying their credit cards etc.

That being said, YES there are rich people who got there working tirelessly, but this is not the key to become rich. That "hard work" means "to become rich" is a kindergarten illusion. Sorry, it's not true. It's a lie. Get that in your head.

You get rich mostly by knowing how to work effectively and what to do to make the most profit, the best ROI (return of investment). If i make a website today, I am not STUPID and sit down for a week coding to finally sell a site for, say, $300. Instead, I hire an Indian guy who does the same work for $50. I am working AS WELL, but my work is another one, it's delegating, finding customers, paying my workers, telling them what to do, finding the best and cheapest workers WHO DO THE ACTUAL WORK.

This is what capitalism is, this is how a smart man becomes rich, NOT by tirelessly working some cr@p job with the illusion it will pay off "some day in the future", because it won't.
