In the next four years, Obamacare will be fully implemented,

CO2 and ozone regulations will be implemented, world taxation might have begun,

energy production will be reduced and therefore costs increased, the Islamic caliphate may be partially established,

our military will be gutted,

our movements and communications monitored and our freedoms in general curtailed

and the dollar will be worth much less. Not the recipe for a healthy America.

You realise you're on the internet yes? People can easily check and see how much of what your saying is total BS? Yes? You realise that?

For the record:

CO2 has been regulated for decades, but like Bloomberg said (remember that arch liberal), we need to do more.
There's not gonna be any world tax any time soon - that's paranoid.
Under Obama domestic energy production has gone UP.
Obama had more donations from the military than any other candidate, because they trust him, not Mitt, who tried to give them crap they didn't want and couldn't use.
You can't predict the value of the dollar - if you could you'd be very wealthy, instead of just trolling on the internet.

So, pretty much everything you said is complete BS.

ACTUALLY, the world WANTED Obama, because they thought Mitt was a horrible lying sack of #.

George Bush made us a joke, for the record, Obama has restored a bit of our image, and I say that as an American that's lived abroad for almost 10 years, taking to actual foreigners.

And btw. why did Bush invade Iraq? Because he had sympathy for all the Muslims who were being oppressed by their dictator? Bush the Muslim sympathiser?

Listen to this Muslim sympathiser, praising the government of Iran for building low cost housing for the poor

You guys on the right are thick as bricks... the US has long sympathised with Muslims and any people of the world who want freedom... your pro-dictator views are anti-American.

You do realize there were FAR more regulations in the 1950s right? You know that halcyon period of time that many on the right believe is sacrosanct. Another interesting thing about that period of time..... People made more as adjusted for inflation than they do today. Oh yeah, back then corporations were not "people" and paid much higher taxes than they do now.

What's your point?

Think he was being ironically sarcastic when saying that...reread what that post was. he was slamming someone whom was all butthurt and using someone being a muslim sympathiser as a negative somehow.

He didn't win! Proof that God is on your side! Oh by the way I forwarded your OP to my friends and family and it spread like wildfire. In los Angeles amongst the people I know (which is pretty varied) they all agreed with your thoughts. So complete catastrophe has been averted for at least 4 more years. We've shown to the world that we are not as stupid as we were when we voted bush jr in ...twice. My mom can relax...she was practically crying when she called me in the middle of the night to tell me obama had won she was so relieved.

For the people that voted for the republican ticket. you have no idea how terrified the world was by the notion of him getting control of the US. If you thought the world had a low opinion of us now, what exactly were you thinking romney would have done for our world presence. Beside alienate everyone further and making us look like the movie idiocracy.

I was flaged for writing a response to " Oh God, please don't Romney win! "
May I know the reason for the flages?

America isn't socialist, Obama isn't a socialist, progressive doesn't mean socialist, and taxes and entitlements aren't socialists, neither is the concept of a social contract with society or a societal safety net.

Have you read Hayeks 'road to serfdom'?? Much of Obama's policies are heading in the direction of socialism, whether you realize it or not.

The truth of the matter is that we love the USA and it's people, and we've been rather concerned you might say for quite a while and the rise of cynicism wasn't helping to alleviate our concern, but this result changes everything.

A recovering, civilized and vibrant USA is on its way back without the kind of top-down, domination and submission, and all manner of dumbing down we've witnessed for well over a decade now.

Obama as POTUS certainly isn't the solution to everything of course not, but every day that wickedness and evil (which is usually just a manifestation of selfishness and greed) in high (low) places does not hold sway, is a new day, and a new dawn.

We are entering a new age of globalization and technological innovation and the USA will once again lead the way to a brighter future and a better tomorrow in favor of peace and prosperity instead of war and the abuse of power.

As for Obama, maybe he's learned something and deserves a 2nd chance and the opportunity to more effectively communicate a common vision which most people can agree with.

Screw politics - it's time for action and more action.

You're a very nice guy newageman, but you understand diddly squat about politics.

Are you aware that Obamas administration already drew a big fat red line, saying to Iran "If you block the strait of hormuz, American will intervene"???

What do you think that means? It may not be an outright support for Israels attack on Iran, but it inevitably binds itself to helping Israel out by drawing a red line with regard to the economically crucial strait of Hormuz.

The mullahs (religious scholars) of Iran with their messianic ambitions are sooooo going to provoke America. Even though not blocking the strait would be to thei4r advantage, I am convinced they are fanatical enough to do it, simply because they hate the great satan (america, and western culture), more than they do the little satan (Israel).

So if and when war comes, and Obama is the party responsible for bring America into it, remind yourself who told you so.

Not even close. Just like I said.

The sheer amount of doom and gloom lunacy on here is staggering.

I've heard all this "death of America" crap before. Both times Clinton won. Yet here we still are.

Oddly, you "free thinkers" that "see past the two party system" tend to disappear when a Republican is in office.

Now that the Republican Party has been somewhat crushed if not decimated, being so far out of the mainstream, it's time to see the formation of a new THIRD PARTY, an entirely moderate party, to throw a wrench into the exclusively two-party system. That would really mix things up and continue to take the Republic back out of the hands of the greedy corporate pigs AND the fanatics on BOTH sides of the left/right equation/paradigm.

You could call it Progressive Conservative (or some such thing) and split the middle while peeling away what remains of a more moderate Republican orientation who will want to distance themselves from the far right fringe elements like the Tea Party, and on the other side, gather in those who feel disinfranchised by the Democrats.

Lol, you don't seem to appreciate the importance of the republican party in American politics.

it's time to see the formation of a new THIRD PARTY, an entirely moderate party, to throw a wrench into the exclusively two-party system.

uh huh. A third party an 'entirely moderate' party. That's sorta the idea of the two party system.

That would really mix things up and continue to take the Republic back out of the hands of the greedy corporate pigs AND the fanatics

So you're really sold on this, aren't you?

Here's a few books I suggest you read:

Milton Friedmans "Capitalism and Freedom"
Frederich Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom"
Frederich Hayeks "The Fatal Conceit"
Frederich Hayeks "The Constitution of Liberty"

Your hearts in the right place, but your political naivete is difficult to digest.

le peeling away what remains of a more moderate Republican orientation who will want to distance themselves from the far right fringe elements like the Tea Party

What are you talking about? What are you referring to? Capitalism? Or conservative moral values? What in particular are you suggesting?

Socialism is a good idea which resorts to undesirable means, finishing off with evil ends. It's a utopian idea that never works. Not unless you're comfortable with totalitarianism.
