Where All Paths Lead

Paths all seem misleading
Left unmarked with any emotion
Overgrown, twisting, and turning
Leading only back to start
Following truth leads to lies
Lies giving only more paths

Walking creates such friction
Running makes anger intense
Searching for impossibilities
Nowhere is often everywhere
Somewhere is always hidden
All paths still leading to emptiness

The journey never continues
No decisions can be correct
A loss in all visible directions
Time spent for less than little
Openness creating abandonment
All the paths are closing in

Left with no viable options
Disappointed in compromise
Seldom finding accuracy
Betraying promises unspoken
Left bitter, cold, and alone
Returned to the splitting of the path

Sitting, watching, and waiting
No signs are being left behind
Just watching circles forming
Staring at future emptiness
Leaving nothing where nothingness existed
Falling into invisibility
Never again moving along the path
