I was just thinking this last night when looking for Kick-Ass. They update crappy shows and let the movies rot

I like a couple of TV shows/series that they have.

Their movie selection sucks, at-least on the instant queue. They may have move movies on DVD but who wants to wait 3 or 4 days?

What my friends and I are doing is taking turns signing up for a month or two then cancelling and starting over until we're done watching the shows we like.

I would HIGHLY recommend Breaking Bad and Dexter. Best tv shows I've ever seen.

Lol, it's so true. They are always adding all of these old or B movies that I have never even heard of. I was scrolling through the action movies a few weeks back and came upon a movie called Nude Nuns with Big Guns?

Out of curiosity I turned it on, it was nothing more than a cross between a B movie and cheap porn. I couldn't believe they even allowed it to be on there. I'm all about quality nudity, but when it is just horrible camera quality and horrible acting it isn't even worth watching.

Ya I've kept my streaming only but I had thought about cancelling it several times. It's not real good for movies but for TV shows it's pretty good. It's also really good if you have kids.

I watch more of their DVDs than watch streaming, but I keep the streaming for the grandkid. There is a never ending supply of Dora the Explorer episodes on it, as well as many of her other favorite shows. If I'm busy trying to cook dinner I just turn on Netflix to whatever show she wants to watch and she's good until it's time to eat.

i had it for about 6 months, and for $8/month,its not that bad!
the only thing that bugged me the most is i could not get it to work on my tv!
it kept freezing up,then playing again (buffering).
put it through my wii, pluged it directly into the tv, same thing.
but on my p.c.,movies worked great!
ya they don't update their movies too much, but they do have a search, and there are a few gems if ya look!

I have three kids. For that reason alone, it's worth every penny. I love watching the older tv shows and movies that I haven't watched in a long time. Right now I'm watching Wonders Years and previous seasons of Top Gear. I also use it on my iPad when using the treadmill. Plus we have a few Apple TV's for livng room and kids rooms which makes it so convenient. Depending on your setup and uses, I don't think it can be beat.

Netflix really is crap, just a bunch of B and C rated movies with a few good ones on there. If you want movies use torrents.

You are preaching to the choir! My hubby loves it because he likes old movies and documenteiris. I have been home sick from work for 6 days and NETFLIX SUCKS!!! Nothing good on thier to watch. Just old crap. I go with Solarmovies.eu or for tv fastpass. they have great stuff for free.

What speeds are you getting with your isp? Your speed makes a huge difference in service. Everything I have watched on my 50" plasma have looked pretty damn good. Most of the time better than the highly compressed HD on DirecTV. Even the older non-HD seasons of Top Gear look decent. A lot of the stuff has 5.1 surround which is pretty good as well.

Same as cable TV,or satellite,or anything else.

You enter into a contract, but read it,they don't promise #,other than to take your money every month.

It's not bad for $8/month. What bothers me more is the dismal selection on a iTunes which you pay a premium for everything by buying shows and movies in singles. If I pay $25 for a movie, and $25-50 for a season, the least you can do is give me a decent selection to choose from.

The entertainment industry is killing itself by not streamlining their distribution and having petty contract spats. Half the reason people download illegally is because there isn't a way to get legally.

I went to purchase 2 TV seasons lately, and after repeatedly rejecting offers of pirated material from friends, I came to realize I can't even get them through all the legal purchasing avenues I have.

Hahaha I was excited to get and then i couldn't wait to get rid of it. And get this. After I unsubscribed from $8/month, they offered me a deal to come back. $7.99

Netflix sucks.

Have you ever thought this has more with Hollywood making money off of DVD/Blu-ray which I think is shooting themselves in the foot. People are a little tired of owning media they watch maybe once or twice after a purchase.
