1702 strikes across Australia in the last hour. Severe weather all across Australia. Could HAARP be playing a part in this? In Perth we have been experiencing very odd weather, showers and lightning for the last week. This time of year is generally fine and sunny as we aproach the Australian Summer.

HAARP gets blamed for everything from lightning in storms to my toast being burned this morning. Sometimes weather is just weather.

Our weather normally pushes Perth to Adelaide to Melb to Syd.
Perth had pretty impressive storms this past 3/4 days.

There was also a large mass whale stranding on WA coast this week. related?

I heard 1 person was struck by lightning in adelaide, poor fella.

i love this weather but!

Well that might be the case, but I know people who've seen radars maps and pictures and they say 100% that it's HAARP.

The weather is not rite. And the only explanation I can think of is HAARP. Plus I've seen a youtube about it. it all makes sense.

HAARP.

umm, not sure if you noticed, the weather of the entire world has been changing, with record setting temperatures and natural disasters throughout the world.

How does HAARP benefit srcewing with lighting in Australia ?

Open ended question with HAARP -

-Atmospheric gravity waves generated by it; does it propagate to lower latitudes?

and the most under studied and obscure

-Access through magnetospheric Van Allen L shells connecting north and south hemispheres via Alfvén waves.

Possibly some seismic or volcanic activity in the near future? I hear some people saying that severe storms can be a symptom. Is this normal for this time of year? Even the global warming can cause more storms. I wouldn't get too worried about it but I wouldn't be walking around in a close thunder storm if I were you either.

Then you havnt been watching closely.
Its just a "deep trough". Sizable, but hardly novel. Only made more impressive in this case because of the tropical cyclone at the northern end that is feeding it. Not exactly the first time thats happened.

Edit - cold fronts move through Australia on a regular basis like this through the summer.
Tropical storms also occur up north during the summer.
Just watch in the future for when they both occur again at the same time. I'll predict at least another one before christmas.

I know that the town that gets the most lightening strikes in the world is in Northern Austrailia. Seems you guys conduct it.

Have there been other imbalances/extremes in the local weather as of late?.

Any extreme weather tends to be to re-instate balance in the environment.

Or maybe we just knocked our environment too far outta wack.

A common pattern in Australia weather is the "cloud band", described near the base of this page. A band of cloud that can stretch all the way across the continent.
It commonly occurs during the passage of a cold front, as in these older examples...

Circumstances have led to this one being bigger than normal, but the point remains that there is nothing fundamentally new, original or amazingly HAARPlike about this system.

And over at the weatherzone forum, they're discussing these thunderstorms and wouldnt you believe it but these weather fanatics havnt once suggested that it might be HAARP (or aliens), or even weird, at all.
